Does the shoulder strap remove

No it's attached that is the only issue with the bag but it's still so worth it. I just let the strap hang it's not too bad. I've received lots of compliments on this bag and it's made very well.

Does this purse hold up over time?

Dear Customer, The bag is made of quality vegan leather and the accents, chain strap are very sturdy. Its crosshatch texture is stain-resistant. Hope this could help. If any questions or problems, please feel free to contact us by email.

Is the metal strap sturdy? I do not want it to break.

Yes it is sturdy but the purse is very stiff. I have to remove half of my stuff just to get to my wallet. Or if a card dropped to the bottom. Very very stiff.

where was it manufactured?

I can tell you it was not made in the USA.
