Boulder Canyon Avocado Oil Malt Vinegar & Sea Salt Chips 10oz, (Pack of 12)

First, I wouldn't trust anybody's opinion on a food item because everyone has different tastes. Secondly, these chips are awesome and you should buy them because I say so. Okay, well, actually, I suggest you go buy one bag somewhere prior to buying a dozen bags and finding out you don't like them. I do love these chips though. Most Vinegar/Salt chips are too wangy or tart for me. These chips have a mildly tart, slightly sweet vinegar flavor. Also I am a salt-aholic and these chips satisfy my salt cravings perfectly. Texture is similar to other kettle type chips - plenty crunchy. Totally yummy! I'm salivating just thinking of them.

I am usually indifferent to potato chips, but these are the exception. I first tried them when visiting a friend in Colorado and thought they were delicious. Don't order them if you've never tried them, because they are not like other salt & vinegar chips, and if that's what you're expecting you'll be disappointed. The malt vinegar gives the chips a slight sweet taste which goes quite nicely with the salt - for those of us who like these chips, anyway. Incidentally, this is is a good price for these chips. Assuming you can get free shipping, it works out to about $1.60 per bag, which is cheaper than you'd ever find them in the store.

These are very unique and oh SO GOOD! I only buy them on amazon, I try to resist because once they arrive I can't stop eating them! They have a great crunch, a typical kettle cooked chip, very thick with a great amount of salt and yes a slightly sweet vinegar taste. These are def malt vinegar, not white vinegar flavor. Absolutely the best, I can resist most chips but not these!

Friends of great sneak food, the special preparation/formulation; sets this product above many others, within it's sphere. Kudos go to the dreamers who define themselves, in wholesome goodness; should take a bow; job well done folks !!! These chips are a great partnership to your favorite drinks; hard mixed, brews, to Ice Tea, your choice is the limit. But this is truly my pick; only the best will do, choose Boulder Canyon brand; The Malt Vinegar & Sea Salt, is my favorite; an all star, in my book...

I bought these expecting to fall in love with them because I love malt vinegar and potato chips. On the outside of the original box packaging there was grease all over the place and when I opened up a bag to try them, there was a very foul, rancid oil type smell and also the same taste when I took a nibble off of the chips. I opened more bags and every single one smelled and tasted the same. I think the ones I got must be a bad batch but they are awful! I got a sick stomach just from taking tiny tastes off of a couple chips. I hope everyone else has better luck.

I got the "classic sea salt" at a local store. They tasted not crisp, stale, right out of the bag. The flavor is "sea salt" but they weren't very salty.

If you want a lot of "pow!" in the way of salt and vinegar....this is not your bag of chips. By that I mean that the malt vinegar flavor is fairly subtle. It has a slight sweetness like you'd figure from malt vinegar. The chips are nice and crispy, however smallish, which is fine for a small bag as such. Overall...good flavor, salty enough, slightly tangy/sweet. I shall very much enjoy the remainder of the case I bought, but may try a case of something else in seek of something with a little more bang. Having said that, I appreciate that they use real malt vinegar solids and sea salt. Unlike some "kettle type chips" that use cheap acid variants that simulate the salt and vinegar flavor, but leave your mouth and tongue feeling like you swabbed your mouth out with sandpaper. If you like Salt and Vinegar chips, they are certainly worth a try to see if they fit your taste.
