Perfect coffee for afternoon break-time!
I love this coffee. The drink we call coffee started in Yemen, which you know if you read Dave Eggers' The Monk of Mokha. I love that this coffee comes from the Haraaz growers. This coffee is light and flavorful, beautifully roasted without that burned taste that is so common in "fancy" coffee. I drink it to get going in the morning, and it helps me push through mounds of work. But I really love to savor it in the afternoon on my break, and preferably with a piece of cake like the Germans do. (Try it with something cinnamon!) It's addictive in the best way, helping me look forward to my downtime with delight and then spring back with energy for the demands of caring for my family.

The real deal
This is unlike any coffee I have ever tasted - it was not what I expected. But that is not a bad thing. First tasting note that surprised me the most was one of smoke, which gradually gave way to a deep, winey, fruit taste. By the second brew, the heavy smoke overtones had subsided and it was an altogether more delicious experience, like very dark chocolate. This is the real deal and I highly recommend it. The reason for 4 stars? I prefer a lighter roast.

Not the flavor I’m looking for.
It’s good but not as good as Port of Mokha. I was looking for that light flavorful taste from coffee from Yemen but this is a bit bitter. I was hoping the less expensive Haraaz would be just as good but nah.

Best coffee I’ve ever had!
This is such amazing coffee!! It is sweet, and delicious! I usually take cream and sugar with my coffee, but this is so versatile I have been drinking it black! It doesn’t have the bitterness that so many coffees have that make you want to mask it with sugar or cream. It’s just a really nice pleasant smell. Sometimes I open the bag and just sniff the aroma. It really is a pleasant drink. Makes the morning start much smoother!

Great Cup of Blessing
Normally, I review the comment section before making a purchase and decide whether or not to make a purchase. All praise due to Allah and blessings to the farmers and their families. This Qahua (Coffee) is a gift from our ancestors. From the moment I opened the bag and shared with a group of students, you could smell the robust. The ending presentation is just as plentiful, you can taste the natural mocha in every sip. I wish to purchase more often. I would love to contact the sellers and let them know how great of a product they distribute!
