Just purchased my second unit. The first one lasted over six years of regular usage with no issues but finally stopped working. The new one is nearly exactly the same unit save for an added power switch on the bottom. But they've improved it, too! The new motors are much quieter and stronger than the original ones. And the 'recovery time' between each launch has been shortened. All in all great improvements to an already great machine. I highly recommend it. And our dogs absolutely agree!

Works wells doesn’t tip over, doesn’t launch the ball as far as I’d like. No battery so you had to be by an outlet outside. It does have a higher volume so I can see why some dogs might be afraid of it at first. Overall our dogs like it but it did take come training to use.

I am hot and cold on this product. As an inside toy, it's fantastic. You need to use it in an environment free of dirt and debris like a carpeted room or hallway. I used this toy outside once and the conveyor belt that launched the balls stopped working because debris got caught in the rollers. Everything sticks to the tennis balls outside like dirt, small stones, leaves and grass clippings so it's hard to keep balls clean enough for the machine. My biggest complaint is that you cannot take the machine apart to clear debris from inside the machine. I had to use a long bottle brush to clear the debris from the conveyor belt to get it working again, and I still hear stones rolling around the inside that I can't access to get rid of. Very annoying. After that, it was decided to only use the toy inside. On the bright side, our Jack Russel Terrier mix was very easy to train to this machine and gets hours of enjoyment from it. We get to watch TV uninterrupted while she entertains herself with the machine.

I bought this for our mini aussie fur baby and she loves it. It's pretty quiet and has 3 different settings for distance thrown (10, 20 & 30ft I think). The 2 inch tennis balls are rather small, but the larger ball version of this ball thrower is much more expensive so I just got this one. I am still working on my dog to bring the ball back and drop it in the thrower by herself, but she loves chewing on the balls and if I let her she will destroy them. lol So for the time being I drop the balls in it for her. One thing I noticed that due to the shape of the bowl where you drop the balls in they may bounce out rather easily so a dog may not get them in it every time. The thrower works great, but I noticed it started to throw the balls shorter than normal then realized the ball was getting very wet with slobber and affecting it so when I tried a dry ball it worked fine, just keep this in mind. I have not tried it on battery power since it's inside, but doubt I ever will really. Overall I like the ball launcher and thinks it's a good deal.
