A: Yes, that is exactly what I use it for. I'm a wheelchair bound paraplegic, and I have had everything from bedsores to diabetic foot ulcers, and I use this tape to hold gauze and bandages on the injured areas.  It works very well.

A: Hi Flavie,Great question. Yes! We designed our tape to hold and endure under rigerous performance. Yet, you can tear strips with no scissors (just two fingers). Feel free to use this tape for: weightlifting, rock climbing, ju jitsu, football, volleyball, gymnastics, baseball, lacrosse, and more. We use medical grade material so you'll always get the cleanest tape with maximum hold. It's also latex free so no rash.

**Q: Will this tape works on the hands of a gymnast doing bars? It needs to prevent skin tearing and should allow for swinging and pull up/down.**
A: Yes, I was a gymnast. We used this exact tape. Not necessarily for grip but it's good to use around the wrist to prevent skin tearing from using actual highbar/ring grips. Also, we used this tape to make rip grips. Once the skin tears on the palm it can be painful but if you use this tape to form a rip grip it will minimize the pain.

I have purchased this tape multiple times. Both of my daughters play basketball and have sprained their ankles. I’m a nurse and I will tape their ankles before basketball. The tape does its job. I got have both the black and the white kind. It’s strong enough to work with yet. I am able to tear it at the side without any scissors when I use it. That’s a win for me specially, if I misplaced my scissors. It’s the right thickness, the right size for an ankle, and The Right material. It’s a good price too.
