These brushes work great. As a newbie to watercolor, I found th se were a great starter set that doesn't break the bank. The bristles have a great shape, hold tons of water, and I found that I was wasting less paint than my super cheap brushes - my cleaning water had very little color to it! You also get a nice variety of sizes with this pack. I can't speak to longevity, but I believe these will hold up well for a long time.

I bought these in 2020 and do watercolor painting with them. I am very happy with them. They have not frayed and don’t lose bristles. I’m not sure how people paint with their brushes or if they take proper care of the tips but I find these great beginner brushes. I do wish they held more water now that I have been painting.

I simply love these brushes. I have lots of brushes but I bought these anyway because it’s nice to have extras I can comfortably take out to classes and have some to share with others BUT when I started to use these, I ended up liking them more than my other brushes. Now I use them ALL the time!! I own several common popular brands and these have become my “go-to” brushes. They hold a good amount of paint. They quickly snap back during use, and I’ve had NO shedding whatsoever. For the price, these are so worth your money!! . Don’t sit on the fence purchasing these. I’m going to buy another set so that if they choose the increase the price, I’ve already got more.

Decent quality but not professional quality brush but for the price it is a great deal. Good for beginners.

Transon 8pcs Round Watercolor Paint Brush Set Goat Hair for Watercolors,Acrylics,Inks,Gouache,Oil and Tempera (on sale for $9.99 USA) Reviewed March 15, 2025 I don’t know if the set I got is the same one as those with terrible reviews, but I must have gotten the good batch because this set is excellent! I even compared the size 4 with my two of my best Princeton brushes, Velvetouch and Aqua Elite. The Aqua Elite is of course in a class of its own and remains my favorite but it’s also more expensive and one brush can buy you one set of the Transon. I tested them out with watercolor paints. Ok here’s the breakdown: 1. No shedding even after shaking the brushes in water to rinse off the gum/glue protecting the bristles. 2. Pointy. Each brush has a good point, and even the size 16 can create fine lines! (See bottom of photo) 3. The brushes have a good snap, meaning they return to their original shape unlike squirrel hair or other natural animal hair that are very soft. Very important: the bristles return to their original point - that can only mean they bristles were properly formed. Again, see photo. 4. They are not the thirstiest brushes, like the Princeton Neptune, but it’s just the right kind of water volume, especially for detail work. The larges sizes have big “bellies”’and they do hold a lot of water - perfect for washes or for fine, long lines like reeds, branches, ocean waves, trees, etc. 5. Since I haven’t used them over time, I don’t know yet how long they will keep their points or if they will start shedding after a while. 6. If you receive anything less than what I described, then it’s not the same batch and you are either getting a fake set or they are a dud.

These hold shape really well, make sure to keep them clean, though. Easy to control, and overall, they didn't have many issues I ran into with other brushes.

These are good brushes and good sizes. Just what I needed for watercolor painting. Good quality, sturdy, and a nice variety of sizes. Well packaged .

It is not prime delivery despite it being listed for prime delivery. Don’t expect it to arrive in 2 days. Mine came in 10 days time. Otherwise the brushes are okay.

Other reviewers have said it, but I'll say it again because boy is it true: these brushes hold an amazing amount of water. It takes some getting used to, if, like me, you're used to using cheap crappy brushes made of synthetic fibres. I'm just getting back into painting as a hobby after more than a 10-year absence, and I'm finding these brushes fun to use, easy to control, and they give beautiful results. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality brushes in a great range of sizes.

Pinsel heute angekommen und sofort ausprobiert. Nehmen wenig Wasser und Farbe auf und verliert zudem Haare, die dann auf dem Blatt kleben. Leider nicht zu empfehlen.

I was a bit sceptical when I ordered them but once I opened the pack and took one of the brushes in my hand, I realised how good the quality is and when I used it I was floored by the performance. These brushes hold good amount of water and they hold good shape through out the stroke. Excellent for water color as well and oil painting. I highly recommend this to anyone.
