It's a must for anyone who uses an electric airer.
I'm new to this electric clothes air dryer thing. My OH who is in charge of washing (her choice) only uses the tumble drier for bathroom towels and bedding or when she needs to get things dried quickly but much of the time will dry everything outdoors but when the weather is bad or in winter she uses a non electric dryer set up in the bathroom which takes about two days to get the washing dried properly. Due to the time it takes to dry the washing, to speed things up I thought I'd buy an electric dryer and obviously a cover to fit it and this cover fits the Addis airer perfectly (sold also by LIDL). The cover itself is made from a material similar to that of a cagoul with vents to allow moisture to escape. It's sturdy enough but I was sceptical at first that it would actually work but to be fair the cover definitely does speed drying up so it was a good investment to be used alongside an electric clothes airer and makes best use of the energy used to heat the airer. One thing I'd advise based on use so far is to turn/rotate the washing every few hours when using an electric air dryer to ensure that all areas of the garment etc are exposed to the heated rails. Don't just drape them over the rails then walk away and expect it to be dry in a couple of hours because it won't but by rotating/repositioning the washed garments it certainly speeds up drying especially with the cover in place. Don't expect the cover to perform miracles but it definitely makes a difference to the airer's efficiency and costs no extra to run so must cut down on what little energy heated airers use so it's got to be a good investment. Air dryers can't compete with tumble driers when it comes to drying quickly BUT they are cheap to run in comparison so if you're not always in a rush to get the washing dry or on a very tight budget then they're an economical aid to drying clothes especially in the British winter months and to be fair a cover is a must in order to get the most from the limited heat given off by the heated airer. Would I recommend this cover? Most definitely. I'm certainly pleased with my purchase. It's well made and I would think that it fits most airer brands as they all seem to be of a similar size so there is very little risk of getting the wrong size. The only complaint I have about the cover is that the price has dropped by about 15% in just over two weeks but other than that it's definitely a decent product which works.

Dried clothes well
Used in winter months when it's impossible to hang washing outside. It covered my electric airer well. Convinced it took the chill off the room as well as helping to dry clothes in the winter. The clothes do need regular turn round to dry each section but the cover kept the heat in place round the washing, which helped it to dry faster.

It works
This fits our Dunelm heated airer perfectly. We've used and old sheet over the airer before and that does sort of work. However this is far more efficient, performs and looks better. Washing now dries about 50% quicker and the cover folds up nice and neat afterwards. *A few months later and this covers is used weekly and is well made enough to look like it did on day one. A good buy.

Disappointed.
Uses a lot of space, good quality but can be prone to collapsing if too much weight put on it. It also can leave marks and odours on clothes. Would not choose this model if was buying another heated airer. Why did you choose this product over others?: Needed a new airer and thought this wind ideal. Its usable but not great

Broke in the corners
Weak stitching in the corners, lasted a few weeks but not for long term use. Would say this is a good cheap substitute until you can get a better one but dont expect it to last.
