Definitely Works
After reading some reviews, I became skeptical. I've used home remedies with Apple Cider vinegar, so I didn't expect much difference. Now that I've been using it, I see that most people do not understand this product. Yes, you open it and leave it on the affected area. Yes, if you knock it over, it will spill. Yes, it has a strong Apple Cider smell, and YES, it kills fruit flies. We were swarmed with them this year. They are super fast and hard to catch. This product lures them to one area, and boop! They jump to their peril. One quick tip I've learned - this sounds a little crazy, but it works. Sometimes, the FF sits at the edge of the container; it can be maddening because they seem almost "too smart" and know they don't want to go IN the container. Here's the tip...if they are sitting at the edge, walk up to it real slow and give it a good "blow"; they'll get pushed right over the edge and fall right in. I don't know why this works so well, but I think it's because they get a little drunk on the smell; they sort of "forget themselves" and just enjoy the hooch. Just give it a little blow, and they fall right in. Gross as it sounds, I had this on my stove for about 3 weeks - it definitely lost its potency, but in the end, there were about 100 or more of them suckers in there. It works - I see a lot of people complaining about the smell. Is it better to have these nasty little bugs on your food? In your COFFEE???

Do Not Buy
We are still being swarmed with fruit flies. This liquid is minimally effective and hard to use. You just open it and leave this liquid sitting in the affected area. One has to leave the cover completely off, which is a dangerous proposition for a busy kitchen. I thought after we took off the lid, there would be some type of cover to mitigate spills No such luck. Highly impractical. Whatever the liquid is, it did attract a few fruit flies, which approached it and drowned. But not enough of them and not worth the trade off of having to be super careful not to overturn this fluid on your kitchen counter and around food. Try another method or brand.

Was skeptical, but turned out to be the best option out of all. Shake Well!
I've bought a variety of different bug removal products and this is the one I had the least confidence in. Reviews didn't seem bad but the negative outweighed the positive in my head and I nervously made the purchase. Let me tell you, I was wrong 100x over. The first week I set it up I noticed it attracting them in droves, sitting around the rim but not going in. I was scared here but I carried on. Not too long later I peered in when passing by and it had caught TONS. I have had it open a bit past the 21 days it recommended, and while the strong smell has vanished, it still seems to attract them even now. It is a bit gross with seeing clumps of the little dead things at the bottom, so I wouldn't recommend keeping it out for long. I don't receive guests so it was no inconvenience for me to keep this in the problem areas indefinitely. Next to my sink for the drain buggers, and right on my dining table. I'm keeping it open for a few days more and will definitely be buying another when I'm next able! Maybe two, but that might be a bit much haha!

Horrendous odor...
The product works great from the moment it's opened, but the smell is horrendous. It's a strong, rotten, sour odor that can be nauseating. I cannot use it inside my home. I understand this smell attracts fruit flies, but as a human, it is so pungent it upsets your stomach/senses. It might be better for shed, unfinished basement, or barn use.

Good but strong smell
The smell is awful! It's so strong and it makes you nauseous. However it works! It's cheap and small and doesn't take up much space and works really well!

Starts working in minutes!
This product works as advertised! I know there are home remedies that do the same thing, but this is convenient and lives up to its claim. I didn't have a major fruit fly infestation and still wonder where they came from. Upon opening the container, the strong odor of apple cider vinegar was evident. I shook it as directed, opened it up, and before my eyes, the flies became curious and thirsty. Within minutes, I watched them jump to their peril from the outer rim of the container and left it out for about two days. I'm free of the flies now. I think this product is great to have around in case you need it.

Unexpected Quantity
Purchased this previously, about a month ago, and received 2 jars. Second shipment only received one jar (same price). And I just pressed “order again” option. Not worth the price. Jar just contains apple cider vinegar anyway. It catches flies but not enough for the high price. Besides, you have to shake it up often as the flies are only attracted to the bubbles.

DOES NOT WORK
What an absolute waste of money. The smell is ridiculous and it caught 1 fruit fly! The rest are flying in the room laughing at the product
