Randy Newman, who was behind the Oscar®-winning music in Disney·Pixar s Toy Story 3 and Monsters, Inc., composed the score for the first Cars movie and penned the Oscar®-nominated song Our Town. For Cars 3, Newman created a score that reflects the heart and high-octane action of the film 21 tracks are included on the soundtrack. Randy has a real connection to the Cars world, says MacDougall. His ability to capture the feeling of this film, its characters, locations and the Americana theme throughout is extraordinary the music is so naturally fluid and inspired. Great soundtrack.
My daughter loves all the cars movies and is thrilled to have all the soundtracks.

Not a full sound track
Was disappointed that this was just the orchestral scores. I.e. if it has lyrics, it's not on this CD. I guess I needed to read closer. My kids still listen to it and imagine what is going on, but I was hoping for a full sound track.

Warning.........
Unlike "The Original Soundtrack" from the first Cars this disc does not include all the music. You must buy two discs. The red case CD is orchestral only. The blue case from the road CD is the real songs sung! Ingenious Disney. While I think of it, the Cars One CD came in a renewable resource pulp (paper) case. Now I get to buy two in a standard non renewable (plastic) case. Not so ingenious Disney! I will buy the the blue case in the future!

My only real criticism is that the soundtrack for Cars 3 was apparently released as two disks, one this, and one with the songs from the movie. I would have rather found it all on one disk.

Bought this as I collect Randy Newman. Honestly I don’t think I’ve played it twice . Without the pictures it is mundane soundtrack music
