It is a monster, and that is ment in a good way.cIt cast great, retrieves smooth, looks expensive and works like a higher priced reel. The support team is another big plus!! I had problems with uneven line on spool tilted down from back to front. This reel has no extra seems to even it out and they gladly replaced it. Hats off to KastKing support for doing the right thing because it was the right thing to do. Well done!! Review: 6000 series - I haven't used it yet. I will say it's build well has a good weight to it. I have a fishing trip lined up in april. looking forward to see how it performs and holds up through the years ## Features - BUILT FOR SALTWATER FISHING: Specially engineered for offshore saltwater fishing. Kapstan Elite Spinning Reel is KastKing’s highest level 100% Waterproof fishing reel at level of IPX6, with up to 15 EverSeal rubber rings to keep water out of the main gear. The KastKing Intrusion Shield System includes labyrinth-style greased sealing grooves that reduce rotational resistance and provide an innovative water-tight seal. - EXCEPTIONALLY STRONG & SMOOTH DRAG: This premium saltwater spinning reel is designed with a powerful braking force for reeling in Big Fish. Sizes 3000/4000 have an ultra-smooth triple-disc carbon fiber drag system and 30lbs max drag; 5000/6000 have a quad-disc carbon fiber drag system with 40lbs max drag; 8000 have a special double drag system, that consist of five front carbon fiber discs and one oversized spool carbon disc, to provide 55lbs max drag. Perfect for reeling in big game fish. - SUPER STRONG ALUMINUM BODY: Max-strength CNC aluminum frame construction. Sizes 3000/4000 have a carbon fiber rotor for strength with reduced weight. Sizes 5000/6000/8000 have a CNC Aluminum Rotor for extra-strength and power fishing. The large power handle and knob are machined from solid aluminum to provide incredible cranking power. This spinning reel has the strongest overall design for offshore sport-fishing, deep-sea game fishing, and blue water fishing. - ULTRA-SMOOTH & RELIABLE: Each Kapstan Elite reel is equipped with 6 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings that provide a superbly smooth feel even in rough conditions. Plus one special-designed polymer roller bearing that is high-strength and never rust, and one 8-pin stainless steel one-way bearing to prevent the flywheel from reversing. - AERO-SPACE QUALITY GEARS: Best-in-class HRB 90 high strength aerospace alloy pinion gear with manganese brass gear guarantees extreme durability and a smooth operation. These heavy-duty gears are 20% more durable than Aluminum and 95% more durable than zinc alloys. And the high-capacity CNC aluminum spool has a braid-ready structure, so there’s no need for back braiding when spooling. - ATTENTION-MANUAL BAIL DESIGN: To reduce line twist, we always recommend manually closing the bail arm after making a cast when using any spinning reel. However, on the size 3000 & 4000 Kapstan Elite Spinning reels, you can turn the handle to close the bail if you prefer. The size 5000/6000 & 8000 Kapstan Elite spinning reels are a different design. These reels require you to manually close the bail to begin the retrieve. - PLEASE NOTE-Turning the handle will not close the bail automatically. This is a performance feature on larger saltwater reels and not a defect in the design. Simply make your cast and manually close the bail to begin your retrieve. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09P4VXVDY | | Bearing Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Bearing Number | 6 | | Brand | KastKing | | Brand Name | KastKing | | Color | B:Standard-Kapstan Elite | | Colour | B:Standard-Kapstan Elite | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 31 Reviews | | Fishing Line Type | Braided | | Fishing Reel Maximum Drag | 18.14 Kilograms | | Fishing Technique | Spinning | | Fishing technique | Spinning | | Gearbox Ratio | 5.7 | | Gearbox ratio | 5.7 | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Hand orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Aluminum, Stainless Steel | | Item Highlight | Max Drag: 40 lb, 6+1+1 BB, 22 oz, Aluminum Frame, Elite, IPX6 Waterproof, Corrosion-Resistant, Big Game, For Saltwater | | Manufacturer | KastKing | | Manufacturer Part Number | KK-KPE SP-4 | | Material | Aluminum , Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Aluminum, Stainless Steel | | Model Name | gear | | Model Number | KK-KPE SP-4 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Rust Resistant | | Size | 6000 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** KastKing - **Colour:** B:Standard-Kapstan Elite - **Fishing technique:** Spinning - **Hand orientation:** Ambidextrous - **Material:** Aluminum, Stainless Steel ## Images ![KastKing Kapstan Elite Saltwater Spinning Fishing Reels, 6000 Size, Gold | Max Drag: 40 lb, 6+1+1 BB, 22 oz, Aluminum Frame, Elite, IPX6 Waterproof, Corrosion-Resistant, Big Game, For Saltwater - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71kbZqZDgnL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are the KastKing kapstan Elite spinning reels all manual bail designs?** A: No, To reduce line twist, we always recommend manually closing the bail arm after making a cast when using any spinning reel. However, on the size 3000 & 4000 Kapstan Elite Spinning reels is automatic bail trip, you can turn the handle to close the bail if you prefer. The size 5000/6000/8000 Kapstan Elite spinning reels are a different design, which require you to manually close the bail to begin the retrieve. **Q: why won't it cast more than about 30 feet for me with heavy lure and makes a lot of news on retrieve using 20 lb test?** A: Depends on what type of rod you are using. Need to be sure that you are using a spinning rod and not a casting rod. The difference is spinning rods have bigger eyes at the reel end and they get smaller as they go towards the tip. Bait casting rods have small eyes all the way down. Are you flipping the bell ? If you have all of this correct then apparently there is a problem with the reel. I love mine and I use it for surf fishing. I cast mine 200 feet with a 4 ounce weight and leader easy **Q: So are the bearings double sealed or shielded?** A: I don't know... I didn't disect them... I'm sending them both back due to the line lay... they offered washers to correct it but I've never had to do that before on any reel and I don't feel it'd right that they don't mention the washers in their description of the reels... It would have saved me the trouble of sending them back because I wouldn't have ordered the reels.. **Q: Is the 3000 really 13.9 oz in weight? That seems heavy to me.** A: The weight is accurate. I have paired mine with a 7'0" Kastking Estuary MH rod. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Reel *by M***L on 2 July 2026* Very nice real!!
