Child Lock for Sliding Closet Doors - 3M Tape Easy Install, 4 Pack, Clear

WE have a bar in the bottom to keep the door secure until my toddler learned how to open the slider. This was not only easy to install but it works great! 4 stars for easy to use was because getting to unlock is sometimes not as easy but once you figure it out its not that bad. First one we installed really close to the door when it was closed as the directions suggested. 2nd one we install (different slider) we moved about 2-3mm from the door. I like the ability to open better at the 2-3mm distance. I still highly suggest this! Perfect to keep that toddler inside and safe.

I love everything about these! My cats were opening the linen closet sliding wooden doors and sleeping on the clean linens. I tried everything I could think of to make it hard for them to get the doors open but somehow during the night, they were able to move the doors enough to squeeze in. This was such a simple and effective fix! Super easy to apply and to operate when locking and unlocking. Genius design. I'm very pleased.

My kitties have learned that no sliding closet door is off limits for them! With their claws and a bit of perseverance, they can go anywhere they want to. Until Sure Basics came to my rescue with their simple -- and simply perfect -- solution. Easy to set, easy to use, and totally effective. They are unobtrusive, hardly noticeable. Plus, and this is a big deal nowadays, the instructions they provide are written clearly and completely. I could not be happier. Finally, I do recommend their clear lock rather than the similar locks in colors like white. Although my doors appear to be white to me, they are actually a very pale eggshell color. White would have stood out. These clear locks are hardly noticeable.

It works well as a safety lock on my patio door, to prevent my 3-year-old from opening the door, now that he can reach the regular lock. I placed it at the top of the door, well out of reach. This is one of the few locks I found thin enough to fit behind my door's glass. Reason I didn't give 5 stars: in the 4-pack, one of them won't really lock "extended" in place. It doesn't stick in the locked position well. But I only needed 2, and fortunately tested each before gluing.

It was very easy to install. I was surprised how well it works. My 16 month old granddaughter could unlock the sliding glass door and open the door by herself. She could also take the board out that I would use in the track of the door so this was a great solution for safety when she's at my home which is every day and when we retire for the evening. I can put this gadget high up on the sliding glass door so she can't reach it because you can put it anywhere on the door if you just want the door to open certain amount or not open at all. It is difficult for me to unlock it due to the arthritis in my fingers but I'll take this gadget any day over a board in my tracks of the door.

Purchased these to lock my cats out of the closet. I have 3 closet doors and use two on the inside door to lock the others in place. This actually helped the gaps along the outside of the closet doors since it pushes the two doors closer to the walls. Went on the doors easily and seem to be holding well. Once you get used to how the lock opens and closes, they are very easy to use and become second nature as I need to get in and out of my closet. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to keep children, both of human and feline variety, out of their closet.

I currently use on two closets with sliding doors to make sure the small grandkids don’t access anything unsafe. They are fairly sturdy and enough of a deterrent that I feel they work. A few times I have forgotten they were latched and attempted to open the doors and get good resistance. I would definitely buy again as there is no permanent damage, I placed them where the kids can’t reach and they are barely visible. Great product

We wanted something discreet for the mirrored sliding closet door in our guest room. We have twin one year old twin boys who were constantly opening the door and slamming it shut. We've had this for a few months now, and it works perfectly! The boys can't open the doors and when we had a family member stay with us, she was able to easily unlock it to open the door and then easily lock it again. My husband put it all the way at the top so that is doesn't look so obvious, and so the boys can't mess with it. I'm only 5 ft tall, so I have to stand on my toes to reach it, but at least it looks good. Haha!

So far the product is working well. It was easy to install and locks easily. A bit difficult for me to unlock but the more we use it, the easier it gets. Works great on our mirrored sliding doors to prevent our puppy from getting to our shoes when we're not home! Looks much better than our hack solution.

Good quality and using for last 6 months without any issues

Expensive. But it works great so I am happy with the product. There is a little trick when you install it. Just dont move or use the item straight away after application on the mirror or door. Let it set in so the grip becomes stronger. At the beginning after I install it, it was not strong and it comes off or slide down right away. But I press it harder for 5 min and leave it for few hours and it works great! Make sure you wipe clean the area before you attached the child lock. Recommend it! Keeps my toddler from opening the sliding cabinets and doors. Tip: attacjed it on higher area on the cabinet and door so toddler cant reach it.

Perfect and does the job. So easy to install.

These are slightly annoying to unlatch - like sometimes they stick a bit and won’t open but they do the job and keep the kids out of our closet. I would order again.
