A great stylus for notes
So let me get this straight: I'm a student, and as a student I take a lot of notes. And I mean TONS of them. I use my Samsung Chromebook pro as my note taking machine, since storing said notes in a digital format as well as getting the benefit of a stylus based handwritten experience is great for my personal memory. The one complaint I have about the machine is the included stylus, which cramps my hand beyond believe. Enter, this Pencil/stylus/whateveryouwanttocallit. I can say that, without a doubt, this thing beats the hell out of the included Samsung stylus that's included with the machine. Adds to bulk in the sense that it cant be stored with the machine (Being its own standalone product), but that is an easy price to pay for the benefit of a better stylus. This pencil feels, albeit plastic to the touch, like a real pencil in the hand, and so much real-estate goes a long way for intensive note taking sessions. I do feel the integrity may be a bit questionable, particularly the tip of the stylus, but Im willing to attribute this to the fact that more real-estate means more torque is possible and therefore easier to over-do it, but like with all things, you'd have to try to break in in order to actually break it (in short, dont try to engrave your screen with the thing and you'll be fine). In addition, my model came with additional tips and a tool to replace them (!!!), so you've got even more life to work with! All in all, definitely recommended if you're willing to spend a few bucks for a good stylus.

Digital drawing - Staedtler gets us a step closer to the real thing.
This pencil is a great upgrade if you're currently using a Samsung S pen or similar small stylus. Although you lose the button like what's on the S pen, honestly, I never really found the button on the S pen very useful in the first place. I mainly purchased this stylus for drawing on the Samsung Tab A and on the Note 4, so far this sleek pencil works amazing on both. The Norris pencil is not a comfortable as a standard Wacom stylus, like the type you'd use with a Cintiq or an Intuos, but it's no less comfortable than a classic #2 pencil. In fact, the nib on the Norris stylus glides beautifully on the surface of both of my Samsung devices. It definitely feels grippy enough to give you control to draw a smooth and steady line while also allowing your hand to remain relaxed enough for extended drawing sessions, thanks to its long body. I think the only thing I'd change or add would be to slip on a finger grip, like the kind you'd add to your pencil in grade school. I can't speak to the long term build quality of the Norris stylus, but from initial use, by me, a guy with a pretty heavy grip and frenetic drawing style, this pencil has done extremely well and has handled my actions with no noticeable damage or fatigue to the pencil body or nib. Although, I at times can feel the body of the pencil deflect a bit at times, I'd say it's no more "bendy" than the S pen and is just ever so slightly "bendier" (is that a word, lol) than a Wacom Cintiq stylus. This "pencil" has breathed new life to my old Note 4 and has made drawing on the couch with the Tab A a nice escape from my desk and Cintiq tablet. Although, this pen could never really replace the stellar interaction between a Wacom Cintiq and it's styus, this Norris/Staedtler pencil coupled with Wacom's EMR tech has made casual drawing in bed, the couch, my backyard or anywhere else I find myself doodling while trying to stay creative during a pandemic. I recommend this pencil to anyone trying to upgrade their drawing experience on a mobile device.

Real pencil feel makes for a better drawing experience on the Note 9 with this S pen upgrade
The Noris Digital is an invaluable tool when coupled with the Samsung Note 9. i have used other digital drawing monitors, stylus, S pens and this one is by far the best. zero parallax, accurate pressure and touch sensitivity. No loss of pen/ hand pick up (as long as that particular app supports this function) just like the original S pen. It lacks the button of an S pen but this actually works in its favor, gives for a more real pencil feel. Like a pencil though, it can cause your hand to cramp after extended use but a simple grip changes this dramatically. Unlike the original, this one only comes with black tips (soft) but they use the same exact tips so you can still use the harder white tips without issue. My only real gripe is that one of the Noris Digitals i bought (bought 3 so far) had the internals just fall out. Though with just a touch of glue fixed this as it is only a wood pencil hollowed in the end to accept the internals (simple black sealed tube the tip sits in). No big deal in end, it was just annoying when it first happened since i didnt have glue at that time. Also, they are as durable as a real pencil....... so...... if you fall asleep on the couch with it next to you, you can easily snap it in half. Little more glue and some shrink wrap brought it right back to life (first one i bought has been thrown through the ringer for sure). F.Y.I Noris Digital for Chromebook is the exact same thing as the original Noris Digital. So, if you are looking for more color options you can get that version instead. I wanted to have two, one with the black tip and one with the white tip for different applications so i tried one. Worked perfectly and since the Chromebook versions are white sided, plus the color you choose, it was a no brainer to put the white tip with it. This allows for less thinking when reaching for the right pencil, black sided original has black tip and white sided Chromebook has the white tip. Also, if you want to use the Noris Digital with your Note 9 without having to remove your original S pen you can. Just go into your S pen settings and turn on the "Use Multiple S pens" option. You wont have to remove the original from the phone now so you wont lose track of it. This will cause your battery life to drop faster though as its always ready to pick up the S pen. Wish Samsung would create a quick switch button for the navigation bar but until then I just leave in on. Battery loss isnt super noticable but im getting used to it now.

Great writing, but needs work.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-P580 10.1 tablet, and immediately grew to dislike the included S Pen (It's too small to use comfortably or for any length of time.) For me, this is nearly perfect for taking notes and sketches at meetings and in creative sessions. The pencil shape and size are comfortable to the hand and it feels like it's well-made. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a button, but this isn't a big deal for my use. UPDATE: So anyway, I've taken a star away from this pen for two reasons. First, the guts fell out of it, but I just filled it back in place. I wish I hadn't used JB Weld to do it, though, because of the second problem... I am a prodigious note-taker, and I've taken lots of notes with this pen. The surface finish of the pen started to degrade so much that it became uncomfortable to use. It became so annoying, as a matter of fact, that I attempted to sand it or smooth it somehow, but nothing worked. I sanded it down enough to stuff it inside a sharpie barrel, at which point it was comfortable to use again. Last but not least, the pen fell off the table and the tip broke off in such a way that the shank could not be extracted.

Comfortable, responsive, functional with my laptop
The stylus that came with my touchscreen laptop, while responsive and functional, was way too small for my hands. This inevitably made long drawing sessions a pain as I felt like I was trying to hold hands with a cat for hours on end. While the cost is bit much for a basic stylus, I decided on this product for a number of reason - it is an EMR (electro-magnetic resonance) stylus, which is the same as my screen, instead of just being another resistive or capacitive pen; both the stylus and my laptop are Samsung products so there was a better chance of compatibility as previously I had ordered a similar EMR Wacom stylus that did not work at all with my screen; and the pen is the same size as a normal pencil. Overall, after using the pen for about a month now, I can definitely say that the responsiveness and functionality are the same as the OEM stylus I received with the laptop but with the added benefit of feeling like a real pencil. It is perfect for using the Windows 10 touchscreen functions and makes drawing a much more comfortable experience. Highly recommend this pen if you are looking for a good EMR stylus that doesn't feel like you're using a toothpick.

Great, but WILL NOT last.
In the end, I am very disappointed. I love the pencil feel. It is thinner, longer, and lighter than the S pen with all the same levels of sensitivity. I have now been through 3 of them, although I am VERY CAREFUL where I place my stylus and my tablet. First of all, no replacement nibs. Then when I received the replacements and carefully replaced the nib, after a month the tablet doesn't even recognize that a stylus is there at all. On my second one (since I loved it so much I ordered another) the black barrel the nib is in which is inside the pencil looking sheath slides out completely. It looks like the cheap dab of glue on the end holding it in has failed. This stylus still works, but with NO pressure sensitivity at all, which is the whole point of the S-pens to begin with. Third one had a slightly bumpy ride, so that was probably shipping/the seller's fault, but the box was only slightly dented, so I didn't think anything of it until I went to slide the pencil and it was completely snapped in half. As much as I WANTED to love this project, I give up. I do not think it is worth the aggravation and money to buy again. I shall revert back to the Samsung S-pens, which always seem reliable! Update 4/2/2018: It really feels like a pencil for a stylus.
It feels better than the Lenovo Yoga Book stylus, and it's allot more lighter than most common digital stylus. The shipment was fast and the quality is good. It has EMR technology so it works on the iluminated keyboard area,of the Yoga Book it quickly recognizes the stylus. The drawing and designing feel I got with the Staedtler Digital Pencil was smoothe, it glide on my equipment which was a good personal choice. Pros: Quality, look and design brings nostalgia back to school. Works on the illuminated keyboard and drawing section, of the Lenovo Yoga Book so that covers compatibility concerns but not on the screen. Cons: No replacement nibs inside the package, limited up to two color variants yellow and black or green and black. Update 04/02/2018: the new ones are coming with replacement nibs and tool, make sure to check for a tiny bag with 5 nibs replacement.

It worked great up until it broke while inside the zipper pocket ...
It worked great up until it broke while inside the zipper pocket of my purse😭 It was a lil too long but other than it not being able to fit inside my phone like the S-Pen, it truly did felt as though I was holding and writing with a real old school #2 pencil! UPDATE 4/20/2018: Okay so I was able to return the broken pencil and get a replacement that worked great but after a little over a week it just stopped working all together with my Samsung Note 8 😭 I was scared that it was my phone screen not responding to the pencil but thankfully that's not the case since the S-Pen replacement is working just fine with the phone 👍 So looks like I'll be returning another S-Pencil 👎 except this time around Im going to request a refund instead of an exchange bc not wanting waste my time dealing with any more shipping returns! Im Very Disappointed bc I really loved how the pencil felt while writing with it too... bummer 😟

Great upgrade
This pencil is the perfect replacement for the already-improved S-pen on my Galaxy Tab S3. It looks and feels like a classic Staedtler pencil and offers a more natural grip and writing positing. Excellent for note taking. My only request would be to see digital replicas of other Staedtler pen products.

Spectacular product!
Great price for a great product! It doesn't substitute the S-pen entirely but is a great alternative for someone looking for a comfortable writing experience. Great for drawings and sketches. Really cool to see people's reactions when they see you writing with a 'pencil' on a phone screen. I definitely recommend this product.

Excellent Product, world of difference from my Samsung S-Pen
I needed to replace the nib on my S-pen, for my Samsung Galaxy Tab A, and came across this. My primary form of creating art is using various apps, such as Autodesk Sketchbook, with my tablet, and as soon as I got the Staedtler Noris Pencil Stylus, my line work and flow went up ten fold. If you have a compatible tablet or device, and you need that tactile feel of pen/pencil when drawing or sketching, even writing, get one of these, you won't regret it.

Calidad y funcionalidad perfectas
