Sending 870 Feet
I have multiple Wavlink N300 antennas sending/receiving 870 feet, 855 feet and 780 feet clear line of sight without signal problems for about nine months now. The instructions are OK; read and follow them carefully and you should have no problems setting the antenna up with the exception that my phone remembers settings so I had to use different devices for different antennas. I used a simple laser pointer after dark to make sure the send and receive antennas were aligned for maximum wifi speed, however one antenna is significantly off alignment center as I did not want to put a third send antenna at the base location however it still sends and receives well. One word of advice- use a battery back-up power supply/surge protector as this product is sensitive and does not like power surges that occur during outages, especially momentary outages.

Supposed to use POE protocol, but actually POS
There's alot not to like about this device. First, the indicators lights are so dim they are impossible to see in daylight. As this is an outdoor WAP, you need to be able to see the status lights. Forget it - they cheaped out. Second, the stated range of 1.5KM is a joke. I set this up 20' high poining directly at a wifi camera about 2000 feet away (.6KM). One bar, and would not allow a connection. Finally, this does not use standard POE protocols. I connected this to a standard POE switch that works fine, used cables that tested fine (tested with a 1 foot patch cable). No power. Removed every other device from my POE switch. Dead. Turns out you MUST use the included "POE adapter" in order for this to power up. So if you are looking for equipment that uses the POS protocol, you may like this. Need POE? Nope.

Strong signal, easy setup
If the wifi strength bars don't light up just do a reset. There is a little reset button on the base that the screw on cover goes on push and hold it. After that mine fired right up and now we have super strong wifi all over the house. Yes, we installed it inside!

Super annoying to set up on the software side
Software for this was kinda garbage. Could not join it with any device I had, it was snails pace, tried with windows laptops, MacBooks, iPhones, nothing would join to get the set up started. Once the software side was set up though it does broadcast very well.

It works, but......
It works, but is a little buggy. When inside the user interface, you have to go through the wizard like every time to setup a new connection. This is a pain when visiting many different campsites like I use it for. Then, there is noway to see the the signal strength in live-time. It shows you signal strength when you first load the page, but does not update anymore after it loaded the 1st time. Again, this is a pain when I am trying to point it to get the best signal as possible. So, as you can imagine, it takes a bit to get setup if you plan on using it repeatedly in different locations. If you are setting it up one time and forget, then you will not have any issues and I would recommend. This device does NOT increase speed. It only increases connection strength. Example, your phone has bars that tell you your service strength. This has nothing to do with your data speeds. Speeds are completely reliable on your provider.

Thing works great!
Shoots the wifi down to the lake and still has enough coverage to get full bars throughout the house. Set-up is easy. Mounted indoors.

Setup not functional
I've set up outdoor AP's and configured routers into indoor AP's, etc., but this install was a FAIL. The printed directions were a good start but long story short, despite several Resets, the device couldn't remember its new login credential, and would not serve up a login page many times despite addressing it by wireless AND by wired means at different times and by their two recommended ip address methods. The indicator lights are also so dim that you might mistakenly believe the unit is not receiving power. Final straw was the unit, once it again offered a login page for setup, continually refusing to allow a login despite proper password, repeatedly, and using two different browsers.

Works fine
Connected the WAVLINK N300 Outdoor WiFi Extender with an Ethernet cable (CAT5) to our WIFI router and pointed it to the shed where I need WIFI (at least 100 yards away) and I have full reception there. The setup was quite easy using the directions they send with the device.
