How does this compare to the original Wet 2 Straight that was discontinued?

I have owned both...and this newer one.... Wet to Style is better for your hair. Some people say that this will damage your hair. I have NEVER had this issue with either version. It's all i use.

Not sure but it’s not a good one. I have short fine/thin hair and it barely straightened it. I returned it.

How to use it on 220v ?? If i use it with voltage converter then it’s not heating up that much. Please help

It is not a worldwide or dual voltage model. It will not work on 240V and using any voltage converter with it voids the warranty.

Do your plates meet each other flat? Mine leave a space and there was no sizzle or steam on wet hair.

They do close flat, but if you're not hearing anything or seeing steam check the settings, the screen will be blue when the steam setting is on. I didn't do this the first time and had the same issue. Also, start with the LOWEST temp you think you need. Not all flatirons get to the temp they say but this one does and will definitely burn your hair of it's on higher than you need it.
