I bought this tool in 2025 for use in Industrial Energy audits. I needed a tool to that would tell me the pipe thickness so that I could calculate the internal diameter of various pipes. The tool has met and exceeded my expectations. I like that its accurate and consistent in the readings, its easy to use and works great with different materials. The tool is also robust for field use. Consider it if you need a reliable thickness gauge for the field.

All I’ve ever used is Reed brand gauges, but my prongs gave out and I couldn’t get a new set as quickly as just ordering this. To my surprise, this works 10x better for 1/3 of the cost. One of those finds where the value of the product is much better than the higher name brand gauges. Won’t be going back to the Reed as this also holds accuracy far longer without needing calibration than the Reed does. Extremely simple to use, worth every penny.
