The Maui line has a very fruity scent (like Herbal Essences scents) and it reminds me of a generic ("this will do") type product. It's not the best for 4c hair but BY FAR isn't the worst (like most of Carol's daughter's products). This will be a good styling cream for moisture but it doesn't keep coarser hair moisturized when this product dries down. I would suggest mixing this with an oil to help seal in the moisturize so you aren't using so much of this product daily. 4c hair will go through this product quickly if you don't use this with oil or in combination with a true leave-in conditioner. I love this product and have been using it for 5 years now. It has a very nice smell, helps to hydrate hair. It can be used as a leave in conditioner or washed out.

Works wonders. I have fine fair and it was extremely dry due to the sun and soo much pool water. Since I’ve been using this product my hair’s moisture has improved a lot. Is shinny, soft and less frizz.

The texture of the product is nice and smooth, I like the smell as well. The reason why I’m not giving it a 5 stars is cause I don’t feel like it helps a lot moisturizing or controlling frizz, I don’t know exactly if it’s only for curly hair but for my type of hair is not working well. After the shower I feel a heavier hair that is not easy to comb and the frizz is still there ☹️ so personally I wouldn’t buy it again

We buy this on autoship because it works wonders for my daughter's curly fine hair. Helps a lot with the tangles she has to contend with and keeps her long hair in great shape. She uses it consistently and it works well for her, clean, shiny and beautifully conditioned in the way most conditioners advertise to, but don't deliver. This Maui hair mask is thick and easy to apply, does what it's supposed to do and seems to strengthen her strands as well as condition them. She loves this hair mask/conditioner combo.

The only moisturizer that works for my dry curly hair

This is the first time I use this product. I really like the creaminess of this mask and how well detangles my hair with a small amount of product. I haven't used as a leave-in conditioner so I cannot comment on that. I've used it both as a conditioning mask (shampoo, rinse, applied mask, left on for 3 minutes, detangled, washed out) and as a deep treatment mask (dried my hair after rinsing shampoo, applied a thick layer, left it on for 10 minutes and then washed out) and the results have been great on my hair, which looked nourished and shiny afterwards. I was fearing that I might need to use a lot of product as I have long wavy hair, but it was not the case. I like the creamy neutral scent, which I think is perfect for any gender. If I compare this mask with my preferred usual hair mask from another brand, this matches the results I get from the latter. Although I bought this Maui's heavily discounted during a flash sale, I don't think I would want to pay its standard price when my other mask does the same job at a cheaper price. Having said that, I will definitely buy it again if I get it discounted.

I was little hesitant at the beginning but to be honest it is worthy product makes the hair silky smooth and soft my hair feels great after using this I do use it with heat spa cap gives amazing result I use this once every 2 week works well for me the amount of product for the price is worth it one pack goes for long time , mostly depends to the length of the hair but worth every penny it does have a dominating coconut smell which I like the most in it ,in case some people might not like the strong smell . Do give it a try great product ☺️
