Warhammer fan trying Magic
TLDR: If you are a Warhammer fan, why haven't you already bought one?Alright, here it is, THE REVIEW YOU WERE ALL LOOKING FOR! As a Warhammer fan who is building an army and is 35 books into the Horus heresy series, I was intrigued. Why would I ever want to get into cardboard crack cocaine when I already pay a fortune to huff glue, oh and glue miniatures? Or dare I say, why would I ever tire reading about how Ferrus Mannus shouts "I AM THE GORGON" at a bunch of Eldar phantoms for the 20th time? Well as a loyal Custodes might think, we gotta blood game it up and try every bit of Warhammer that exists in order to get closer to the Emperor! It's for his protection of course.SO, fellow loyalists, the cards look cool, they feel cool (although I'd recommend buying card sleeves to keep them in good condition even just for storage, I got a box of dragon shield sleeves in gold), they got cool flavour text at the bottom most of the time that is well done. I played a couple games of commander and I actually enjoyed playing, it is a pretty nifty game loop. Sometimes your opponent gets a luckier draw, but if you survive long enough you may win yet. Or if you play with up to 4 people (everyone needs their own deck), maybe everyone else will tear themselves apart for you to emerge victorious? Just remember, the Emperor's vengeance will always come around, it just depends on when. I may try a couple other decks out in between gluing some armies together. The deck has a pretty good representation of all imperial factions in it, from inquisitors to soldiers to adeptus mechanicus to interesting eclectic characters. Oh and for all you Space Marine fans, there are Space Marines in the deck besides Mr. Calgar, don't worry!I'd say 10/10! Well worth it for a Warhammer fan!

For the glory of the Imperium!
I love this deck, and have had a lot of fun with it! Favorite card is the Exterminatus! I have shifted the balance in a game with that one and it was way to much fun!

Good deck.
It’s a fun deck, and I paid less than it’s value in cards I essentially didn’t spend any money if I girl mathed right.

Finally got one!
I missed out on these Warhammer 40k decks when they originally came out. Glad I could get it here for a reasonable price considering the circumstances!Although, I wish this was shipped in an Amazon box instead of the plastic bag... The exterior box was pretty beat up so I was concerned about the cards, but upon inspection, all of the contents were fine.

One of the best Commander precons ever printed
Preordered this, and received a few weeks after release, but I got a generous discount due to the presale price guarantee. The artwork and flavor on the cards is great, including the reprints, and the deck is packed with valuable new cards that will be difficult if not impossible to find elsewhere. All of the 40k Commander decks are among the best preconstructed decks ever printed, but this one is a little unfocused in its strategy. If you're not committed to the 40K flavor, a few upgrades can make this a powerhouse. In particular, Marneus Calgar is an easy build-around commander for newer players, and a very competitive card (perhaps even overpowered) for established players. Looking forward to getting in a few games with this deck as is before breaking it down to use the great cards elsewhere.
