Great meal replacement
I just ordered my 3rd tub of this protein powder and I cannot say enough great things! I mix 60g with some Greek yogurt in the morning and it keeps me so full. It is a little thicker and grainy compared to other powders but I love that! The scoop not being a serving through me off - but I just weigh it out now. The cacao is not super sweet or chocolaty and the unflavored is perfect - no bad after taste or weird flavors

Tastes surprisingly good
I was looking for a meal replacer shake that had some calories. I'm looking for a meal and not just swallowable vitamins. This was the highest calorie one I could find (400 calories per regular serving), so it helps keep my energy up and provides a balanced meal when I don't want to stop and eat. It's also shockingly good for only needing water (though tastes a bit better with almond milk). I don't have a blender bottle (I'm looking for low effort), but have a couple whisks, so I just spin the whisk by rubbing my hands together for 30 seconds and it's plenty mixed. Whisks take up less space in the dishwasher, so super easy meal and super easy cleanup.

soylent, huel, or ka'chava?
I've been into this meal replacement thing for about three years now, started with soylent, and then tried huel. and finally kachava. i typically make a smoothie every morning with one of these meal replacements. it consists of the vanilla flavor on all different brands. with water and a tablespoon of powdered Hershey's chocolate. (the chocolate flavor of all these brands just kinda sucks IMO). and I've been doing this for about 3 years every morning. i will break down each brand briefly. Soylent: smooth and soft texture. has the most neutral and adaptable flavor. it is also the cheapest, but taste kinda synthetic, and not quite confident it's "healthy". but soylent takes a 4.5/5... soylent is about 1.90 a serving. Huel: kinda grainy texture, and has a plan and plant taste (not perceptively appealing, although, I can enjoy this taste much more in the long run compared to soylent and kachava), but i feel this is much healthier than soylent. (on par with kachava as far as health) 4/5. hule is about 2.30 cents a serving. ka'chava: sadly i got this hoping i could explore it more and incorporate it with the other two. the texture is very similar to huel, but it's been loaded with some sweetener that just overwhelms anything you do to make a tame drink. (i can't do this flavor every day compared to the other two.) but this is somewhat a bias on my part because I don't like sweet things very much. so if you like sweet smoothies, godspeed. also, kachava is the most expensive for the least amount of food. at about 3$ a serving. 3/5. 4/5 if you like sweets, and can afford them. i typically do a 2/1 ratio of soylent(2) heul(1). with chocolate and water in my smoothies. I have tried putting kachava into this portioning, but it almost obstructs the taste at any level. kachava has to be about 1/7th of the ratio for it to be neutral enough of a flavor without it disturbing the flavor with excessive sweetness. anyway hope this helps with your decision-making with these meal supplements. :)

Nice and neutral!
Nice all around supplement mix. Neutral flavor and smell make it easy to drink alone or mix into a smoothie.

Love it - one of the better meal replacements i've tried - try it with cold brew coffee!!
So far so good, I really don't like the chocolate flavored meal replacements, and this one although not exactly cereal milk flavored like I've heard so many rave about is pretty good. It has a neutral flavor profile, You can definitely taste the rice. I did try it by itself, and it went down pretty smooth, as usual with meal replacements, the colder the better. Getting the consistency down isn't easy for me because i'm an idiot and i don't measure things. There, I said it...I think If I were to do that, I would know what the consistency actually should be since Ive never tried the bottled stuff, but in my 24 oz shaker bottle this morning, I put in three scoops and filled it to the brim with my cold brew coffee. Like I said it has a neutral flavor profile, so you throw this in a mixer with bananas, its just gonna taste like bananas, strawberries, its gonna taste like strawberries, so no surprise, with the coffee, it tasted like, well...coffee. A bit more latte-ish - you get the mouthfeel of the fat in the Soylent, which kind of reminds me of the bulletproof coffee I used to drink... if you haven't heard of the concept, you make your coffee, pour it HOT into a blender, mix in some grass-fed butter and coconut oil (this is the homespun recipe - you don't have to go buy the bulletproof brand MCT oil, coffee and such) - blend it up and you supposedly have a drink that will make you razor sharp, and satiate your hunger - all this is true, it is delicious, and goes down smooth as all get out, but you're a mess, greasy lips, shiny face, your coffee cup is a mess, spills leave fat stains on your shirt, no bueno...and jeez, who has time to do all that mess first thing in the morning. So I gave that up, and I gotta say, trying Soylent with cold brew coffee brought back some of those same sensations, it will satiate your hunger (without clogging your arteries), and has close to the same mouthfeel, although nothing tops pure grass-fed butter and coconut oil... All in all, I'm a fan, been drinking it for a while now, and almost time to reorder - I have heard it was cheaper to order from the website, but I know for a fact it's easier for me to order from Amazon... For reference, this is the shaker bottle I used, Contigo Shaker Bottles Black Mixer 28 Ounce (2 pack)

Tastes great, I feel full and healthy
I compared this with Huel, and I purchased both. Huel is absolutely disgusting. Soylent has a neutral taste that tastes like whatever you add to it. I originally chose Huel because of the additional protein, but I can't stomach the powder. Now I just add protein powder to my Soylent and I am perfectly happy. I don't claim to know lots about nutrition, but here is what my body tells me: I feel full for 5 or more hours after having my Soylent meal, and my body feels great having Soylent. I have very irritable bowels and stomach issues, and I have never felt so great. I took great issue with people talking about the gas issues they had with Soylent. I don't know if it is the newer version or what, but I have way LESS gas issues while eating Soylent. And I have chronically irritable bowels. It isn't cheap, but it isn't expensive. With the protein and fruit I add, I'm probably spending about $4 each meal. Definitely more than I spend on breakfasts, but less than I usually spend on lunches, so it is a wash. For me, this is an amazing product and I am loving it. Just a warning, if you are first starting to use it, your body might feel weird adjusting to the diet change. The second day of Soylent I felt real weird. It was over after the second day. Now it only makes me feel great

Too Expensive. An Excellent Product. But Not Good Value Because of the Cost
Here's the deal. I am a huge fan of the Soylent concept. And one of the ways I maintain my weight and keep my weight down is by applying the philosophy of calories in calories out. And so, I have a protein meal replacement for breakfast that clocks in around 240 calories and has 39 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, 17 grams of carbohydrate and 3 grams of fat. Now, let's say that one wanted to maintain a weight with a consumption of about 2,400 calories per day. As Soylent points out, although one could, one shouldn't get all of one's daily requirements from just consuming Soylent. But if each serving of Soylent (24 servings per this cannister) is 200 calories and one were to use this product for two meals as a meal replacement, one could blow through a 24 servings container in no time at all, thus making it an expensive source for your daily protein. So how do I really review this product? Is it excellent? Yes. Is it neutral tasting and not unpleasant and able to be flavored with cocoa, etc. ? Yes If I could get it for a lower price would I use it regularly? Yes So the only comment I have is that it is a very very expensive way to do a meal replacement. If the 2.3 lb container is set up for 24 servings of 200 calories each that means that, for a daily 2,400 calorie diet, the container would be for two days. Hence, consider it only as, say, a replacement for your breakfast meal.

There's just no alternative to the original
I've tried so many alternatives and tried to like them, but none come close to the combination of taste, ease of mixing, cost, nutrition etc. It is an intentionally bland but lightly sweet flavor on the original. This is so you don't get tired of it too easily if I remember correctly, and I believe their logic was sound. It also makes it very easy to customize and add your own things to tweak the flavor. My favorite additive is powdered peanut butter. It mixes very easily. I put it in a cup with a lid and a bit of ice and shake and boom, done. No clumps, no graininess, just a good smooth drink. It leaves me feeling full and satiated and makes it very easy to keep up with how many calories I'm consuming. I wouldn't call it a "diet shake", but the way I use it, it basically is. I almost wish they had better competitors, but no one has really matched them. I think they pioneered this kind of mix and as far as I'm concerned are still the best offering. When you can get your hands on it.

Love this product
Love this stuff. It is one of the first meal replacement products out of the many that i've tried that actually keeps me full until lunch. Also does a good job of helping me lose weight due to keeping me full for longer.

Great product but discontinued shipping to Australia
Australia has no shortage of soylent clones, but I much prefer just use the original. So for the lack of access seemingly anywhere else from the web I have to give this a 3
