Smart Recumbent Bike for Indoor Low Impact Cardio

After trying this model out at my physical therapist's office, I HAD to get one of my own! Honestly, I LOVE this bike! (I previously had a traditional, upright exercise bike that I rarely used because it was difficult to get on and off of it. Also, even though it had a "wider, more comfortable seat," it hurt my butt. Ugh!) So, THIS bike is not only easy to get in and out of (just step in and step out--no climbing), the seat is COMFORTABLE! It is like an ordinary lawn chair with a padded seat. JOY! As a result of the way more convenient and comfortable ride this bike offers, I look forward to exercising with it most days for 50-60+ minutes. Another really great thing about this bicycle is that you can still ride it when the power is out! The electronic programming will not work, of course, but the pedals and flywheel are operational. The programming is a bit complicated, but the bike comes with a concise instruction manual that helps. Once you get the basics down, it's easy. Assembly instructions are good, and all parts and necessary tools are included. Everything is wrapped separately and carefully to avoid any possible damage. The bike is quite heavy, so it really helps to have two people putting it together. After assembly is completed, the back of the bike can be easily lifted up by one person, using the built-in lift bar, and rolled into the desired room/position. There is a shallow shelf between the upper handlebars for a cell phone, tablet, or other skinny devise, and a water bottle holder on the main support tube. The seat distance is fully adjustable; I made marks for my husband and myself on the seat support slider with a Sharpie pen, so we can easily return the seat to the distance that fits us individually. Operation is silent. This recumbent exercise bike is one of the best investments we've ever made. Right now, the arthritis in my knees prevents me from walking or jogging for exercise, and this bike allows me to get the exercise I need and want without causing pain and further damage to my knees. (After surgery, I will surely continue using my bike.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

As someone who's had four or five different kinds of recumbent exercise bikes over the years, this Sunny is my favorite. The drive mechanism is super smooth and silent, and I love the soft seat and the mesh-backing. The latter is a revelation for people like me who push themselves hard and sweat a LOT while riding. The controls are straightforward and not too fancy, which is what I wanted. At this price point, there's not a single other bike out there as good as the Sunny. My favorite thing about the bike, though, is Sunny's customer service. I felt compelled to write this review because I saw a few one-star reviews that commented on the company's poor or non-existent customer service one you've bought the bike. That's completely false. I did have a problem with the bike's belt about ten months in, after the warranty ended. At that point, a long, detailed, and daily conversation began between me and Steven, Sunny's main tech-support person, on how to get my bike back to perfect working order. Seriously, at least 50 emails went back and forth between us, and Steven was so knowledgeable and prompt and respectful. He has to take in customer questions in the order he receives them, but I never waited more than 24 hours. Even with the bike out of warranty, Steven and Sunny helped me with parts and tools and so much advice. At this point, I have a perfectly new bike and Sunny covered costs they had no obligation to given that the warranty had ended. I just hope they pay Steven what he's worth, because he proved to be saint in how hard he worked to help me out. Seriously, I felt like the guy cared about me as a person, which was really refreshing. So yes, a five-star bike with ten-star customer service. I've never been treated so well by a company of any kind before. And that is absolutely 100% the truth. (And nope, I don't work for Sunny and they didn't pay me to write this--they didn't even suggest I write a review.)

I purchased this bike to augment the exercise bike I was using at physical therapy. It has only been 2 weeks, but I am really enjoying it. It came well packaged, and everything was included (including the tools needed for assembly). My son put this together for me and it took him about 2 hours. It wasn't very difficult. However, a couple of the bolts would not line up correctly and it took some maneuvering to get them to work without damaging them (or the bike) in any way. Everything else went together quite easily. The bike is a joy to ride. You have to either program a level yourself or use one of the preset programs in order to take advantage of the levels of resistance. Understanding the programming took me a little bit of time, but I managed to get it down. I think that the instructions could be a clearer on how to set the levels of resistance - it took a little trial-and-error to find out how it was done. The bike is very sturdy and solid. The seat is comfortable, easy to adjust, and locks in tight. Although, if you have more than one person using it, you might want to use a sharpie to mark the bar under the seat so that you know where to put it for each person. Pedaling is smooth and the bike is stable as I ride. I love the "shelf" where I can put my tablet and watch virtual bike rides as I work out. As I said, it's only been 2 weeks, but I am very pleased with the bike and would definitely recommend it. I will know more after a few months of riding as to how everything holds up. I hope that it lasts for years, but time will tell.

Easy to Assemble, comfortable, lots of options for workout routines, and Surface pro fits above the screen so I can work or watch shows while I ride. After 2 months of daily use the right pedal came off. I didnt use locktite or any thread locker on the assembly as I though it would not be necessary. Well the threads in the crank arm are now stripped and the threads on the pedal arent that great either. Customer service was quick to tell me this was an older design and that was a common problem. New Crank Arm, Crank Arm removal Tool, and Pedal are on their way. Total turn around time from call to package arrival looks like 11 days, which sucks, but at least i have a rower i can use for Cardio. I did ask, since this is a common problem can you please send the left crank arm and left pedal so I wont have to deal with this again. Nope. So I'm sure in 2 months we'll be dealing with this again is the thread-locker doesnt work. UPDATE - new crank arm and pedal arrived with a puller tool for the crank arm. I had to use my mini torch and beeswax to get the crank arm off. So I highly suggest using blue thread locker when installing the pedals and maybe you wont have this issue.

I had a couple of Nordic bikes that I loved but I wanted to try something more economical. I shopped around a lot and decided on this one. I’m so glad I did. The bike is study and relatively compact for my 5’8” 150 pound frame. The seat is comfortable. It’s quiet and has many settings and programs (which I usually don’t even bother with). I use it at least four mornings per week and it’s holding up nicely! Highly recommend!

I was initially very happy with this bike. It was very quiet but slowly it started getting very noisy. It made a grinding sound and a high pitch sound. I had only had the bike for about two months at this point. I contacted Sunny customer service and they helped me with instructions on talking apart the bike and troubleshooting for the exact problem. They then sent me the parts to fix it and some video links to help guide me. It was very difficult but after many weeks of back and forth communications and shipments of parts I was able to get it fixed. I’ve now been using it for about another two months and it is making loud sounds again. This time a thumping sound. I am very disappointed and do not want to go through the whole process again. I would think that a brand new product should be expected to last at least a few years, not months before experiencing problems that make it unusable. I do not recommend this bike unless you would rather have a DYI project rather than a piece of exercise equipment.

I bought this recumbent excercise machine in October of 2023, primarily for myself and my husband, but for our adult special needs dughter as well. the design enebales her to use the machine more easily than others. After light use for one year, the maganetic resistance no longer worked. This is the main componenant of this recumbent bike and one of the major decisions as to why we purchased ths product. To make things worse, we were past the warranty period. My husband reached out to SunnyFit and they were courteous, curious and engaging; providing feedback, videos and parts--in order to open up the machine so he could further investigate the problem. Thus began many email "give and take" sessions, with them asking for photos and videos of the machine operation so they could remotely determine the problem and provide solutions. (We live in Northern Michigan and they are in California.) After several weeks of mutual diagnosis and discussion, they sent new parts and the machine was back to perfectly operational and now runs better than before! The team of people who seviced our problem and shipped parts to us were Carlos and Dalia. They were kind, informative, patient and friendly. What intially was a frustration over the machine was turned into a joyful experience by these two indivuduals. If they are indictative of the entire SunnyFit corpration, then this is a fine manufacturer that you can trust. Thank you from both my husband and myself for your great product and service! It truly has been the BEST customer service I've ever encountered!

Arrived promptly, packed snugly, no damage inside. Took a long time to unpack and lay out the pieces. Worth it because everything was in pristine condition. I had to print out the assembly instructions myself :-( . For a $600 product you would think the assembly instructions would be included. Assembly was pretty easy and the instructions were thorough. Everything fit together well. The assembled bicycle works nicely. Quiet. Comfortable enough. The free app connected to it right away and looks fun to use. Happy with the purchase.

Peso 120 kg y mido 185 cm, la he usado una hora al día todos los días durante un mes. Me encanta que tiene la opción de "quick Star" , lo presionas elijes la resistencia y empiezas a entrenar. La silla es bastante cómoda, sobretodo el respaldo, casi para los 50min, me empieza a molestar los glúteos el asiento, pero bueno es más el hecho de que peso 120 kg jaja, la distancia de los pedales es fácil de ajustar, a mi en la máxima me queda bien siendo alto. Eso sí, si no eres bueno armando rompecabezas las instrucciones no son claras, tarde más tiempo en decifrar que hacer solo con las imágenes que armandola, pide ayuda! Igual una vez captando no es dificil de armar, pero eso si , si eres débil sería mejor que alguien te ayude pues hay partes que pesan. Igual ya armado el producto le doy 5 estrellas

I can compare this bike to the Schwinn bike, this Sunny bike has a much smoother pedal, the seat is way more comfortable too than the schwinn. I am honestly quite pleased with this bike. It was easy to assemble for me, but I can see how the directions provided could be an issue for someone that is not mechanically inclined… the visual instruction aid was very small, and lots of words to sift through to assemble… so, I can see that being an issue for some. However, it took me 45 min to assemble once I got all the parts out of the box and protective coverings.

J'ai acheté ce vélo car je ne peux pas faire de marche prolongée (problèmes de hanches). Très bonne qualité, facile à compléter le montage avec une autre personne. Très confortable. Je tenais à avoir un dossier et un espace pour ma tablette. Je fais une heure tous les jours et je ne vois pas le temps passé. Je suis beaucoup plus constante à faire mon entraînement que si j'allais au gym. Rapport qualité/prix excellent.

this unit is completely uncomfortable to use. the ergonomics cause your legs to bounce into the seat each cycle. The seat is far too deep and has been modified to attempt to limit the problem but not successfully. adding INSULT >>> in ADDITION I HAVE TO PAY $200.00 to return the item and receive a $3.99 shipping credit

This baby will last forever, it is very sturdy. The setup went well, and if you take the time to carefully read the assembly instructions, you should not have any issues. The drawings on the instructions manual could be a little big bigger. The mechanism to move the seat back and forth is very easy and very sturdy. Clearer instructions would be nice to setup the computerized programs the way that you desired. But overall, this is a superb piece of equipment, and I strongly feel that I will never have any mechanical issues with this machine.
