Good value and quality printing
At this price delivered by Prime for £70 this was a bargain. Easy to set up using the app and it's linked to an iPhone, iPad, a desktop and an android without hassle. Toner is more expensive than ink but if it actually does print 900 sheets it's probably about the same cost. Black and white only but I don't need colour. Compact and solidly made. Very pleased with this product and hope it is durable in the long term.

Quality product and inexpensive with a small foot-print
Super compact A4 black & white laser printer. Delivered on time and I was able to set it up within minutes. Connected to my home Wi-Fi without any issues and I was printing without delay. Nice crisp printouts, so I was very impressed with the quality of them. Inexpensive from a quality brand. I had a similar HP laser printer that lasted me 10+ years before finally giving up the ghost. Very small foot-print and not heavy at all. Very impressed and highly recommended.

Good, connecting could be clearer
Was looking for a small cheap(er) printer, this is an ideal printer, good size. I did struggle setting it up, but once I downloaded the Hp app and actually made an account, that was what made it quick to connect. Ignore the app that is in the booklet and make sure to create an account with the hp app, then you will have no issues.

Brilliant compact printer
What an amazing printer. I nearly didn't get it due to the negative reviews but don't listen to them. It works and connecting works a treat just scan the QR code in the manual and follow the apps instructions. The test print was great too and it's so easy to use not having to feed the paper like an inknet. It's more environmental friendly as the ink lasts longer. It works well and comes with a toner ALREADY installed. I did buy a spare one so covered for a long time. It's super compact but works very well and would suit every home or office. I am super happy as I was tired of my old Canon printer and the connection issues I had. HP has me starting a new printing journey and I like it.

unable to get it to print
I tried for well over an hour, maybe as much as two hours, to get this set up. I am an IT engineer with a DrayTek security router with the latest standards, the printer evidently does not support WPA3 networks at all but I could not get it to work with my WPA2 network either, I would go through the incredibly slow, tedious setup process that would show spinners/loading screens for several minutes while basically doing nothing and then it would say at the end that it failed to set up the printer. This is with the Android and the PC app, I tried both. In the Android app I saw a message that said that you couldn't print without an HP account anyway, so even if I had managed to get the printer working, I would not have been able to print without giving my personal information to HP. Which is unacceptable. A printer that needs an account to print is not fit for purpose. I was really looking forward to seeing the printed output from this machine, its small, obviously built down to a price, feels slightly hollow but otherwise sturdy, looks fairly nice on a desk, it might have even had a nice print quality, I'll never know. Just put a wired connection on a printer. Selling a printer with no wired connection option is like selling junk. I segregate my wifi into numerous separate LANs for security and a device like this is useless in that situation. I temporarily joined some of those networks together to attempt to get the printer working and it still would not work. Even when the PC and Phone and printer are on one network, I still wasn't able to get it to work. Having to play around with the network settings also caused me to lose internet access to my devices for a period of time. Very very frustrating, Installing a printer should take about 2 minutes, not hours. I know this is the budget model but I'm put off buying a HP anything again. Junk.

Fast, reliable, decent print quality in a compact size.
I hate printers. everyone hates printers. Somehow, this one manages to be not completely terrible (and it's also really cheap!). Less than 5 mins after taking it out of the box it was printing, which is a refreshing surprise. So, good things first; easy to use, print quality is decent, time to first page is about 8-9s which you're not going to beat at this price point. Build quality seems pretty decent (albeit it's a lot lighter and flimsier than you might expect from something that carries the LaserJet brand) - it doesn't have a traditional paper tray, and it will only hold about 100 sheets or so, so not great if you're printing high volumes (neither is the small toner cartridge I guess) but if you just need to occasionally print the odd letter, ticket, booking confirmation, shipping label etc this is absolutely perfect. Negative points; everything is managed via the app, there's no display or any sort of status indication other than a cryptic flashing LED. the input/output 'trays' are flimsy bits of plastic that serve to support the paper a little on its way in or out of the printer, the paper guides aren't that stiff either and seem to adjust by themselves so it's quite easy to end up with a few pages printed squint and misaligned. Areas of solid colour (well, solid black) show noticeable banding as is common with cheaper laser printers but you're not going to be using this for mono photography(!)

Very good fast output but do not use HP software - use your phone!
Note - I am not an IT expert but I have owned lots of different printers. My last printer was a nighmare because the software slowly started to 'take over' and I then couldn't buy my own toners rather than Epson crazily priced ones. For this printer I used the wireless non-branded printing protocols which were complicated but worked slowly. I then found that an easy foolproof technique is to use your phone to print! It links up fast and the layout of the printed document is perfect! Just print straight from your phone! And then you have no mad software and can buy whatever toners you want. Also it is really tiny printer - see pics. But the 2 trays are a little flimsy.
