My son absolutely loves this, I got him this book for Christmas. He is 10, and it encourages him to get comfortable with writing and the benefit of learning how to write and learn Chinese. It's very clear with step by step practice on letter form to write in Chinese. Very satisfied with this practice book!

Definitely a good book for kids

My son gave me a nice brushpen to use to practice writing Chinese characters. You can use other characters not in the book using the pages of squares to practice additional characters, which you will want to do soon. I maybe wish a few simple expressions were there as well. Interest in Chinese language is growing in the US.

It’s a cute book overall. However, I found one mistake: the word tiger 老虎 is illustrated the image of a lion which can be misleading for mandarin beginners. Moreover, the book says there are 100 words. Yet that includes repeated words like 车，子，瓜，果, etc. which leads to inaccurate description.
