**Q: What is ring material?**
A: ceramic. Appears to be aluminum oxide, like Fuji guides. very glassy and slick, safe for braided lines.

**Q: Rod  10', 4piece -does the rod withstand the throwing of lure 8oz (according to the manufacturer's specification) , for distance  50-70 yards approx'?**
A: I assembled the rod and attached my #8 spinning reel with 50 lb braid. Reel fits well and construction is solid. Will know for sure next week I am headed to Alaska to catch salmon.

**Q: Is this rod a ferrule rod insert design meaning do they insert into each section of rod and have a gap or do they insert into each other and push tigh**
A: it's not a ferrule system.  The tubes fit into each other with a step down to the next section.  In my opinion this is a much better system of distributing the weight on the shaft, so that things don't break at a ferrel point.  I have the 9 foot 15-20 lb rod which I love and it fits into a suitcase.  This rod is better than a rod I bought a few years ago at about 3 times the price.
