Easy upgrade for my a520-series MiniATX motherboard that only had one nvme slot. I use the computer as a media-server and wanted to also use it as a Steam Cache for my primary games so that my updates would go faster. I only had a PCIe x1 slot available so this card was a great addition and was exactly what I was hoping for. Considering I was just using a gen 3 drive I didn't feel I was losing much in terms of bandwidth but the company provides a handy chart so you know what to expect. Overall, really happy with this purchase and it accomplished exactly what I wanted.

Works just fine. When I ordered I did not know that an HP Prodesk 600G1 will allow reading but will not boot from the Pcie slots, both 1x and 16x, do to lacking code in the BIOS firmware. There are people who have modified the Bios so they could boot. I could probably do that but do not want to spend the time. Still keeping in case I want to add a backup drive.

I bought this drive because I have 2 PCIe 16x slots and both are occupied by GPU's. Because of this I can't use my 3rd NVMe drive, so I ordered this since I upgraded my secondary drive and wanted to keep this one in action. It surpassed my expectations with no problem! Sure, I'm not getting the full speed I was before, but considering it was as simple as unscrewing and screwing in the drive and installing it into the PCIe slot, I'm not upset at all! Perfect for making a computer faster but need a USB stick with clover client to boot with it? but very easy defently recommended. very fast performance. boot with clover usb stick. no heatsink.

First off make sure you know what you're buying here, the seller is extremely clear that this is a 1x PCIe to NVMe Adapter meaning you're only going to get 1x speeds. On a PCIe 3.0 Bus this isn't too bad, but on PCIe 2.0 you're looking at more or less SATA III 6.0gb speeds. However for my needs (an old motherboard with extra 1x PCIe 2.0 Slots) this was perfect as it was cheaper at the time to buy an NVMe Drive and pair it with this adapter than it was to purchase a SATA SSD, plus avoiding the extra cabling and hassle was well worth it. If your motherboard supports it, it is bootable (and if it doesn't it might be even possible to mod the BIOS to support it!). Worked as expected with a Crucial CT1000P3SSD8.
