Not as a costume piece, I wear it out to the bars, shopping, etc and get compliments. I bought the white one, and so it is a challenge to wear this out and not spill, but I like that I can remove the laces and bleach it. I find it very comfortable and after two years it still looks new, seams are great, grommets in place. I run it through the wash on delicate cycle and low heat in the dryer, no other special attention. I did purchase two others of the same in two different colors.
