**Q: Why do they add tapioca starch if cats do not need carbohydrates?**
A: Yikes, you know more than I do. That’s probably why my cat likes it.

**Q: How long can this product sit on a shelf unopened ? I would like to buy ahead for a few months because you seem to run out of the salmon cuts.**
A: Like any other cat food it does have an expiration date. It is usually a year and a few months from purchase. I just purchased a case that has expiration date of 11/02/2019 so I would imagine if you want to stock up for several months - it’s possible! Hope this helped.

**Q: How do you open them without it squirting/splashing all over you?**
A: Opening this product is such a chore! I hate it!

**Q: What are the exact ingredients?**
A: Received this product in June 2020, the ingredients listed on the website are wrong. Listing says the main ingredient is chicken or turkey broth, it isn't. The main ingredient is water. This cat food is mostly water. Sheba needs to list the correct ingredients for this item.

My Kitty has eaten Sheba Pate for years, but always liked some crunchy snacks, too. I was giving her up to 4 servings a day because she never seemed satisfied for very long. She’d get her zoomies in but they were very brief, maybe 2 minutes. I switched to this shredded Salmon and it took a day of trying to be all picky until she finally gave in. After 2 days, she now only has 2 servings a day and my 10 year old Kitty gets the 10 minute zoomies like she did when she was 2 years old. She’s more cuddly, too and seems so much more content. I trust the grain free nutrition and her body is sleek and her fur is silky. Good stuff!!
