A: Not if you're careful. You just have to pay attention to how you grab them, after all it is broken glass.

**Q: How do I hang my glass into a chime?**
A: buy a drill bit for glass or tile.  Hang with fishing line or wire.

**Q: How thick are the pieces of glass?**
A: About 1/8" thick

**Q: What is the average size of the pieces?**
A: I don't recall an actual measurement in size. However I do remember I had to take a hammer to probably 99% of it to make it into smaller pieces.  I guess it's not a bad thing cuz you can customize your own sizes.
