GGR SUPPLIES T.R.U. CVT-536 Black Vinyl Pinstriping Dance Floor Tape: 2 in. Wide x 36 yds. Several Colors

I got the fun job of decorating a short racetrack for toy cars, so this tape was perfect for the center line and borders for the start and finish lines. It's vinyl and very sticky, even on the somewhat rough surface of painted plywood. It does stretch as you peel it off the roll, so be sure to let it rebound before laying it down or you may come up a bit short if you've already cut it. I love the bright color, and it's thick and seems durable. I think it'll hold up well to many races, though it does not stop wayward cars from crossing into the other lane. But my understanding is that crashes are the most exciting part of watching a race, so I guess I wouldn't want to take that away from the kids.

I bought the 1/4” yellow for pinstripe on (horse) jump poles and it is exactly what I needed for the purple/black/white paint to pop (Go Ravems!) It went on easily and seems to stick pretty well. I did two laps around in the top pole, but then just one lap on the bottom two poles. Up close, you can see a slight difference , but not enough for me to worry about. Will see if the double wrapped ones hold up better, or if it makes any difference. It says it’s not for outdoor use, but for the price and how much time it saved me (vs painting), I figured I couldn’t go wrong trying it. The tape does have some stretch, but nothing crazy. For 1/4” tape, I actually think it’s pretty solid and would say less stretchy than electrical tape. You just have to be consistent in your pull - Either pull out a length and lay it on, or unroll as you go. All in all, very happy with my purchase. If it holds up to being outdoors, will probably order some different colors and widths for some of my other jumps.

The backing is sticky enough to bond to pretty much anything but... so much effort is required to peel it off the roll that the pulled end of the tape can be distorted. So if you need a perfectly uniform piece of tape, you may have to unroll 6" more than you need because you might have to cut off the stretched end. Would I buy it again? I might try another product to see if it reacts in the same way. That's the trick with adhesives. Think post-it's. Brand name ones come off the pad easily and they stay where you put them. Aftermarket copies are sometimes too sticky.

This pinstriping tape is heavy enough to make using it easy, but light enough to not look bulky. Great adhesion even with a lift off.

Nice and stretchy with good color. Only real downside is that it fades into a horrible orange color with time. Would not buy for long term pinstripe.

Tape was see thru had to use tape over tape for pinstripe and glue was present on outside of tape every 10 cm, clean of with alcohol wipes.

This is a very good product, good quality
