22305 5/32 Stainless Steel Accuslide Cable Repair Kit Universal Replacement Parts Fit for Accu-Slide System, Flexible Multi-Purpose RV Wire

One of my slide cables broke mid trip this year. I watched several videos on how to fix it and ended up purchasing these slide cables to get the job done. This cable was much smaller gage than the cable that broke but seemed to have the right strength to get the job done. The installation was almost exactly as described. After watching the videos over again several times, I mustard up the confidence to sever the old cable that was barely hanging on by the last two hairs and install this one. At first it didn’t go through the path as described using the sleeve provided, but after figuring out how it needed to be bent it pulled through just fine and I was able to snug it all back up again and get back to our trip. Definitely recommend, especially in a pinch. Probably could have used a larger gage cable but ended up working out. Also, make sure you have a good pair of cable cutters! I tried to keep it cheap and paid the price for bad cut cable… had to run back out and buy the best I could from Ace Hardware.

I should have selected the one that cost $2 less. The box on display is not the one you get. Product in box seems sufficient for the job.

Saved hundreds of dollars using this kit. Plenty of wire. Used to replace wires for slide-outs on an Ultralite 5th wheel. They’ve worked several times over the last two months. Four stars because the feeding mesh is useless, it doesn’t keep the old wire connected; I had to reinforce with electrical tape.

These cables are a “one size fits all” length and require clamping them at the needed length. This is somewhat difficult but allows these cables to be be installed directly from the old cable, if the old cable is still running through the wall. I don’t think it’s possible to get a new cable around the bends if it had the oe crimped and threaded end on it. I replaced one of my old broken cables and I saved a new as a spare that we carry in the camper. The kit came with the needed part. I also carry a spare motor/gearbox too and the crimping tools.

Junk I’m camping now first time I used them the cable pulled out of the end. To make things worse the cable came inside the camper making it almost impossible to pull new cable back through

Garbage! I wouldn’t waste my money… bought it in august to replace the broken one, used the camper only a few times and put it in storage, just pulled it from storage. Opened up the slide and the cable broke at the end of the slide. Very disappointed!!

While the cable itself was fine, the braided cable to connect the old to the new in order to thread it through the pulley was terrible. It was far too large for the cable. Useless. We ended up having to thread it by hand and it took a couple hours. Don’t buy this one.
