JJ's Bakery Boston Cream Snack Pies, Individual Dessert, Fresh-Baked, Perfect for Snacks, Nut-Free, Kosher Parve, 4 Oz Each (Pack of 6)

I have been buying the tastykake version of this pie for years. I just bought both of them, the tastykake and the jj bakery version. I must say, I was very happily surprised with the JJ version. The dough is much more moist, also the JJ version is sugar glazed, and the tastykake version is not, it also has chocolate frosting on top while the JJ version has chocolate pudding inside the pie, as seen in the picture. A much better tasting style of pie. For now on, I will be only buying the JJ version. I would recommend this pie for anyone that likes Boston Creme pie.

JJ pies are delicious so I ordered 6 pies for $15 thinking these will be well worth it. Unfortunately, the 6 boxes were wet n soggy even though they were wrapped in plastic and in another box in which the cardboard box was not wet in anyway. The corners were open slightly. Once u opened the box, they were either smashed or stuck to the box. There was no glaze (frosting) on the pie. The others u pick them up n they bent making them hard to hold. They didn’t smell right. Finally found the expiration date which it looks like they were trying to hide n it was 12-23. Threw them all away. Don’t waste your money or time buying these. If I could I would give this a zero review.

This item has a very overwhelming chocolate flavor, so much so that you can barely taste the custard filing. I do love chocolate but this was bought because I enjoy boston creme pies and donuts but as stated all I tasted in this was chocolate. Price is very high on average and I feel is very much not worth it.

When I ordered these I wasn't sure what to expect, I never tried them before, I think they're pretty good, they're not like donuts I've had before with similar contents, but after all, it's a pie not a donut. They were pretty good tasting, not stale, not dry, not too overly moist -yeah, I know the word moist makes some of us uncomfortable, but it's the proper description of the word here, as a good thing. I would recommend refrigerating when you get them and eat them cold, much better.

I purchased this product. When this product arrived, each individual box was moist/wet. I felt unsafe consuming this product because of the condition that it arrived in. This was a waste of money, and this product is not eligible for return. Please return my money or send me a replacement. Not recommended product at this time.

Flavor is ok, not much filling, and it was dry. Way too much dough for the amount of filling. Would not buy again

I love the Boston cream the best. I was unhappy ☹️ because 4 boxes were open. Had to throw them away and I never got a refund. Never heard back from seller. ☹️🤔
