SENNELIER Extra-Soft French Pastel for Professional Artists, Half Pastel Stormy Sky inspired Set of 6

Wonderful product with high pigment, have used it on many projects! Love these blues!

Both the Seaside 6 ea pack and Emerald Sea arrived today. The sight, feel, and play of colors on paper are glorious. These are the first Sennelier extra-soft pastels I have had the luxury of holding in my hand. We all have texture preferences - soft, hard, or somewhere in the middle. My preference is the velvety soft of the extra soft Sennelier pastel. I have multiple other soft pastels on shelves and in drawers. I wish I had spent the money on previous purchases and instead bought the largest set of these pastels. Little by little I will add to my collection. If intensity of color and velvety feel are what you are looking for start with this brand first, Sennelier extra-soft pastels, before you experiment with others. They are an investment in your art experience. MB

I love these pastels and intend to buy more. They are VERY soft and easy to use (I use them with makeup brushes to paint dolls' faces). The colors are intense and even. I previously used Rembrandt, but like these better. Update. I bought more of these pastels that arrived today in a padded envelope. These pastels are very fragile and needed more careful packaging than just being thrown into a padded envelope. They arrived in pieces - very disappointed.

Sennelier pastels are creamy smooth smooth. Perfect for adding final touches to pastels.

Colors are as represented ( I bought two sets of 6 pastels) I have given this a 4 star because the seller doesn’t understand that the box should be bubble wrapped or otherwise protected. On each set I had two sticks arrive broken and will only be usable with a wet brush.

The quality is horrible. It feels dry, crumbly and chalky. There is no glide and it doesn't compare to my other Sennelier pieces. I'm really disappointed. Color is fantastic, but it feels like street chalk.

I love these pastels. They're rich with color and so easy to blend. Keep in mind that as with all soft pastels, they're messy, but you can control the mess by preparing beforehand. I highly recommend for drawing portraits and items in nature that earth toned.

I really like these pastels. The pigment is wonderful, they go on smoothly and easily. I wish I bought the full stick rather than the half stick. I will definitely buy these again.
