If you only sweat a tablespoon's worth of liquid per 90 minute class, then this mat will serve you just fine. It has very good grip once it's slightly wet. If you sweat more than one tablespoon as most Bikram yogis do, you'll be lying in a puddle of your own sweat by the time you hit the floor series. When class is over and you roll up the mat, you will leave behind a gigantic pool of your own body fluids if you tip the thing on its side. None of this is appealing or pretty. The mat itself is well made. The velvety texture is nice and soft. The patters are beautiful, but don't think you'll get away with not bringing a towel to practice on. Even with a towel, the mat needs to be washed with every use.
