Signal boost for faster speed
Due to the placement of the PC which is cramped against wall, the screw-in antenna for the PCIe card doesn't help since it gets limited signal, hence the speed is terrible. For a while, I'd used USB wifi adapter but went through multiples, since those USB wifi can be inconsistent, drop speed or disconnect due to heat throttle. PCIe slot is still superior compared to the USB interface. I didn't think about these detachable antenna until recently when I got this product. The antenna is big, the base magnetic is strong which sits firmly on the top of my case. Overall, the design is sleek and nice. And importantly, my upspeed and downspeed double! So, this is probably the best solution to solve for weak signal PCIe slot with tight space. PS: My PCIe adapter is TPLink AX3000 WIFI6 and the antenna works right out of the box with easy screw-in

Exactly what I needed for my basement Vpinball cabinet's PC! From 70Kbps to 70Mbps!
My virtual PC cabinet is in the basement of our home and about 100 feet from the router that's located on the main floor. I was getting anemic dial up transfer speeds and that was when it could connect at all. I frequently had no connection or off/on constantly. I first tried a external USB wifi adapter to replace my motherboard wifi. One that looks exactly like this but contains a wifi card inside the base. That was a nightmare as it continually disconnects from the USB. I decided to try this antenna extender and using the built in motherboard wifi (an MSI Mortar wifi 6 PCIe car( and its been absolutely FABULOUS thus far. I get a solid 5 bars connection strength and my transfers skyrocketed from dialup 70kbps speeds up to 76Mbps that I'm used to from my other devices on the main floor. Highly recommended if you are having similar issues.

Works on z790
At 2AM one day, I managed to break the original WIFI antenna for a Asus ROG Strix z790E motherboard. While I was able to re-solder the connectors (using a microscope and a very fine soldering tip), the original design is much too fragile and the cable too short. The Eightwood seems to be bit more robust and works at least as well as the original -- in fact, it seems to be better as it gives rx/tx speeds of 866/866 (Mbps) very reliably. No doubt this is partly because it has a longer cable which allows better positioning options. It may also be on account of having two antennae. If nothing else having the longer cable diminishes the likelihood of stressing the connectors to failure. I am replacing all of the antennae on all my systems. It's good, buy it.

Worked for my combination bluetooth / wifi card
I don't use the WiFi on my desktop because its hard wired, but it uses the same antennas for wifi and blutooth. I'm using it to be able to walk around my place with my BT headset on, and it works well. Took one star off because the cables aren't really long enough for my needs, and because the magnet is kind of weak. I was hoping to attach it to my monitor wall mount arm, but the cable wasn't long enough and if you don't have the full surface area of the magnet on a metal surface it doesn't hold very well.

Brought my speeds from 5 mbps up to nearly 200 mbps
Bought this for an ASROCK motherboard in my desktop. The onboard wi-fi chip was getting around 5 to 15 mbps before, and this brought me up to around 200 mbps. This screwed right into the integrated ports on the back of the board so it could not have been an easier install. The magnetic base is also super convenient. With a sleek design, good weight, and fantastic speeds - I must highly recommend this antenna.

works OK, but won't last forever.
works OK... for a time. it's nice to get clutter off the back of your case, especially if you're a peripheral junkie like i am. and the reception is pretty much the same, not noticably better or worse than traditional antennas. being able to move it around is nice for organization but you won't see better reception with an item like this, just in general. after not quite 2 years of use, though, and i was starting to get some really inconsistent wi-fi reception, and very choppy bluetooth audio. had to do quite a bit of troubleshooting to figure out this device was the culprit and changed back to my oem antennas which instantly fixed the issue. i guess these things don't really stand up to much disconnecting and reconnecting. it's not like i moved it much either- maybe once every couple of months i'd take all the cables off the back of the case to clean it out, so these definitely lack in durability and don't hold up well to being moved or unplugged a lot. like i said, it's just OK. don't expect any improvement in reception but if you're finding it hard to maneuver your cables on the back of your pc case it's a decent stop-gap fix- just don't expect it to last very long. it's dirt cheap, so you get what you pay for.

Top Antennenupgrade!

Ottimo prodotto.

Antenne wifi parfaitement fonctionnelle.

Rewelacyjna poprawa WiFi
Bardzo fajna antena. Zastosowana do komputera stacjonarnego PC. Modul WiFi zamontowany PCIexpres oryginalnie słaby odbiór sygnału z routera. Metalowa obudowa PCeta skutecznie tłumi sygnał. Zakupiona antena zastąpiła oryginalne anteny modułu WiFi. 2 metrowy kabel wystarczy by tą antenę postawić wysoko na regale co skutecznie poprawiło odbiór WiFi. Polecam do zastosowania w PC. Mi się sprawdza.
