1st off I’d like to say that I don’t write reviews. I was concerned about the packaging issues that so many mentioned in previous reviews. But CAP must have listened because they definitely upgraded their shipping boxes. The barbell came without a scratch. Now I have had a couple of $400 Rogue barbells that were shipped in the same chinsey cardboard tube method. But this new method is the best i have seen. As far the barbell itself, AMAZING!!! I thought I would take a chance on the $149 Beast and I am glad I did. The knurling is absolutely great. Not too aggressive and not too weak like the barbell that came with their bumper plate package from the sporting goods store. In my opinion, it is just as good as my old Rogue bars. Very happy with this purchase!!!

Amazing barbell for the price range; good knurling, smooth sleeve rotation, and overall great feel during heavy compound movements (squats, DLs, ohp, bench, rows). Overall I expect to use this bar for many years of lifting. Would definitely buy another one if the need arises.

I recently purchased the Cap Barbell THE BEAST Olympic Bar, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who is serious about weightlifting and powerlifting, I needed a bar that could handle heavy loads and feel solid in my hands. This bar is an absolute tank. The build quality is exceptional, and it feels incredibly sturdy, giving me confidence during squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. The knurling provides a fantastic, secure grip without being too aggressive, and the finish is durable and looks great. While it's a bit heavier than some other bars I've used, that's exactly what I was looking for. This bar is a fantastic value for the price and is a must-have for any home gym.

Decent bar for what it is. Probably the best bar you can get for around 150 dollars. After racking the bar a few times from having it for a week, some of the finishing on the bar will scrape off. I also found that the black finishing also comes off when you scratch it with your finger nail. Overall it gets the job done but it does feel cheap.

This bar is incredible value! It has a good texture for where your hands should be placed for bench press and deadlifts that really help with maintaining grip, and is capable of holding at least 350 pounds without any give in the bar. I have yet to load it up more than that, but the quality is there, and I’m sure it could maintain over 500 lbs. This bar has been a great addition to budget home gym, and I’m incredibly happy with the performance for the price. You will not find a better bar for the price, and I looked extensively. Just know, that the packages it comes in is extremely awkward to deal with and hard to remove. I wasn’t able to remove the packages end caps without completely shredding the cardboard apart with a thick knife. Otherwise, this is an excellent barbell and a steal at its price.

I'm not lifting 1000 pounds. For my home gym this is exactly what I needed. Everything works as expected, fit and finish are solid enough, size is correct - no complaints. Its a bar I put weights on.

Packaging destroyed on delivery and the bar was hard to "unbox" but the item is as described and surprisingly, it was not damaged. Some oil on the bar, easy to clean with a dry towel
