Why no hoodie strings?

Not sure why yours doesn't, mine came with hoodie strings

Does this hoodie have lint/hair cling to it very easily?

No none that I have seen so far everything looks great I washed my before wearing it that makes it look good for wearing also wash in side out it seems make it last longer hope all this helps you.

My son wears an American size extra large. What size should I order for this hoodie?

This is true to size. My son is 5’9 129lbs and a large fits him nicely

Im 5'8 130 lbs, should i get a medium?

I’m sure a medium would fit you! I’m 5’4” and 160, ordered a large but I like them big so I can layer underneath. Yes to a medium for you. You’ll live it. The stitching is beautiful.
