a commenter wrote "too sweet." you are buying sugar water after all, sweeter is a better deal, just use less. I think it's great. it's spicy but not that spicy. 2-3 squirts into your margarita gives a pleasant warmth with a tasty jalapeno background. straight on a spoon, Tabasco is somewhat spicier. I'm knocking a star because $15 is just too much for 8oz of sugar water with a bit of spice. it gives me a great idea though. I think I can recreate it for way less, maybe make it even better! I'll start with my basic simple syrup which is 2 parts sugar to 1 part water. yes, that's sweet, so you use less and dilute your drink less. a 1-1 ratio will mold over in the fridge after a month-ish. 2-1 keeps forever. while warming to dissolve the sugar, I'll crush in some fresh jalapeno peppers to steep for a while, then strain and store. we'll see 🧑🍳🍸

Spice is Perfection, Painfully too Sweet
Okay so I am an utter sucker for a spicy mixed drink!!! I adore them so much. I have been on the hunt for a spicy addition to my cocktails for a very long time now and jumped on this one for the great reviews. In terms of spice - it’s punchy and I love it!!! I WISH with all my heart they would cut the sugar by at least half, quite frankly I wish they would offer one without any sweetness at all. It is painfully sweet and terrifyingly high in sugar - 35 grams in 2 tablespoons agh!! I’m gonna have to find another plan soon for spicy cocktails cause this thing is gonna put me in a coma. If there are plans for this exact same “syrup” without the sugar - pls keep me posted I will be your biggest fan!

Spicy!
Great for spicy margaritas or other spicy cocktails. Doesn’t take but a few drops to achieve a good amount of heat. Potent and lasts a while. Good product.
