80/5 MFD 440 or 370 Volt Round Run Capacitor Replacement TradePro 80+5

Seems like a quality product since the tolerance is +/-3% (you can get cheaper capacitors but their tolerances are generally +/-5 or 6%). The capacitor I received measured 80.6 uF and 5.0 uF...spot on to the nominal rating. It started up my 5ton heat pump without issue and has been running it without a hiccup for a week. Sure it’ll last for several years (probably longer than the remaining life of my 15 year old heat pump).

Bought this August of 2019 to replace our existing one which I thought was bad. The issue turned out to be a blown fuse on the air handlers main board, but I decided to keep the new capicator anyway. A year later and this junk capicator has already failed. I went out to a local supply shop and bought a quality USA made capicator and our heatpump is working perfectly again. Don't waste you money on this garbage, the ratings are probably false too since the new USA cap seemed to be more substantial in build quality and weight. The old US made capicator lasted from 2012-2019 and still worked when I replaced it. The kicker is that the USA made cap was only about $5 more this this.

Within spec; reasonable cost. Don't spend upwards of $200 for parts and labor to have an HVAC technician replace your start/run capacitor. Change your own, it's not that hard to do. Plenty of how-to videos on YouTube.

Only lasted all of 4 months!

My pool heat pump compressor wouldn’t start. Parts under warranty but $195 to install the free covered part! This fixed and and runs great and heating perfect now!
