Great product, great price.
I was looking for a device that would let me play my ipod through the receiver. I didn't want wire adapters. I wanted a docking station. I was surprised at how hard it was to find. Radio Shack had one for $40. I opted to give this product a chance. It works great! It has a remote and the docking station charges too. I use it for my ipod and itouch. If you need a docking station buy this product.

Noisy noisy!
First it has really low volume, I find that I have to disconnect its line out and put it directly into the iPod's mini-plug. Then when it's plugged in it introduces a huge amount of electric noise. I started to think the iPod itself sucked, until I took the iPod out of the Dynex base while it was playing and the groundloop, electric hum went away. Yikes.

Had to do a bit of fiddling with it at first, but now I LOVE IT!
I had serious problems with volume at first. I was extremely disappointed that it was so soft. I turned both the iPod and the Bose all the way up to max volume and it was STILL too quiet (with a hiss to boot). Thought I'd wasted my money ...THEN... I discovered that even with the volume maxed out on both the iPod and the Bose the REMOTE volume button took it louder still... even too loud! An "aha!" moment! So... I recommend you leave your iPod set to it's normal volume (that way there's no danger of blasting your eardrums because of forgetting to turn it back down when switching to ear buds), set your stereo (or TV) to it's normal volume, THEN USE THE DYNEX REMOTE TO ADJUST THE VOLUME. Now it works like a charm - I couldn't be happier! Some reviewers say they're having issues with the remote. I have not had any so far, but I've only had the unit a week or two. I'll update if I start to have problems with it.Tips: 1. Your iPod won't charge even when docked unless you slide the power switch (on the side of the docking base)to ON. Interestingly enough it will still play even if the switch is off.2. If your iPod keeps going to sleep, and you don't want to have to keep waking it up to see what you're doing, simply go to your main menu: Settings > Backlight > Always On. Now when it's docked the screen stays on. Just remember to re-set it when taking it off to use portably.NOTE: This unit must be plugged in to AC to operate. The connection cables are a bit bulky (the only reason I gave it 4 stars), but It's not meant to be a very portable device.Bottom line: It's working great, I now have iPod playlists coming out of my Bose for a fraction of the price of a proprietary item, and it keeps my iPod charged. I recommend It!

Value for your $
Hooked this up to my home theater, easy and intuitive. Sounds fine. Used a Logitech Harmony Universal Remote which took over for the Dynex remote. Still have to get close to the IPOD to use the remote, not because of range but because the IPOD screen is so small. I only paid less than $25 and can now charge and listen to my IPOD without hooking it up to the PC and Itunes. Highly recommend.

Sound is bad
This would be a great product for the money if there was more volume. The sound is horrible...not loud with volume turned all the way up on TV
