Soon to be a Netflix Film in March 2021! From the New York Times bestselling creators of I Wish You More , Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld, a funny look at the one day of the year that can compete with Christmas for children's affection: YES DAY! No matter how silly the request, there is one day a year when kids always receive a positive response: Can I have pizza for breakfast? YES! Can we have a food fight? YES! Can I stay up really late? YES! The simple text coupled with delightful illustrations will send kids on a journey into their wildest wishes. With humor and appreciation for life's little pleasures, Yes Day! captures the excitement of being a kid. Jennifer Garner uses Yes Day! as inspiration for an annual magical day of all things YES with her children. She was a little worn out after 24 hours of pure YES in 2017, but she still praised Yes Day! as "a fantastic children's book." Review: wonderful book - I got this to go along with a "yes day" activity with my class, and my students loved it! Review: My 2-1/2 year old loves this book - I thought that maybe our 2-1/2 year old wouldn't quite understand it, but he LOVES it and completely got it. I would recommend this book for older kids, too...probably up to 1st or 2nd graders. He loves that the star of the book is a little boy, too, and I think he feels like it could be him in it. Great book; we also have other Amy Krouse Rosenthal books like Little Pea, Little Hoot, and Little Oink, which he also really likes to hear over and over and over and over...you get the idea. As a parent, though, I would only add that when you read this book out loud, you sort of have to fill in the holes for smaller kids because the boy in the book asks questions to which the answer was obviously "yes," but there's no text to that effect. So we used the pictures to help us "tell" the story and describe a bit more about what's going on and now our son can tell it back to us.

Yes, yes, day
A great book if youโre doing the yes day for the school - kids enjoyed reading the book and then they got to pick items that they could do that was reasonable for a YES day

Cute!
I first tried the movie on Netflix. This was one of my watch list, and I enjoyed it. So I tried the book next. Although it was way shorter than I expected, I enjoyed to read. It's a bit expensive compared to the length of the book. But it's cute and I believe anybody can relate to the book.

Adorable
Jennifer Garner just mentioned this book on the Rachael Ray show and I wanted to check it out cuz as a Mom with kids aged 36-11, I am constantly saying NO! This is an adorable little story which sounds so cute and a good idea but with 3 teenagers in my house I am afraid of the things they would ask for. This would be a good book for little ones!

Not worth it
Disappointing book. I bought this for my 8-year-old as we really enjoyed the film, thinking she'd have something to read for at least a few hours. "Read" the book in 30 seconds. It's got one line per page, far too simple. This is not for 4-8 year old readers at all. And very expensive considering we got about a minute's enjoyment out of it...

I cannot recommend it.
I bought this based on reviews but really did not find this interesting at all. The art is nice but there is really no story to this book at all. The children were bored with it. As was I.
