Does the orange strip have two plastic things to peel off like the blue strip does? I could not tell if there was one on the orange side or not.

I don't remember exactly how I assembled the heat sink to the M.2. I believe the orange pad was only sticky (1 peel-off) on one side. It makes sense on the underside of the M.2 because most of the heat is from the chip on the upper side. I'm not sure why it is necessary on both sides of the blue one either. I held the sandwich together tightly while I tightened the screws. It is also important to line up the pads on the M.2 carefully, so the M.2 fits properly in its connector slot, and you still have room to fit the hold-down screw or twist-lock device in the "tail" end. If I remember correctly, I put the tail end of the pads right up against the edge of half-moon cutout.

do you use all 3 heat pads (2 blue,1 red) for the 980 Pro?

Like in the video, I only used 2 of 3, the pink and the blue. the other one (If you look closely looks like it's pre-cut on little pieces), I save it for later.

Perfect for an SSD in the PS5

Nice job heat sinking Samsung NVMe 990 Pro 1TB

Works well cooling my Samsung NVMe 990 Pro 1TB. Dropped its idle temperature to 36 to 37 Celsius at 23 Celsius room ambient. I do have a hugh 120mm fan moving air infront to cool the the entire motherboard assembly. So that convection air would help.
