A really awesome feature for your home!
My bedroom was damaged by a leaky roof. I had to completely demo and remodel the whole room from the ground up. The room has one bedroom window, which houses an AC unit in the summer. I really wanted to have a new TV in my bedroom, but not one that was off to the corner, blocking the AC, or ultimately in the way whatsoever when we weren't watching it. I surfed the web for hours looking for something both affordable and unique I could do in the bedroom to have a TV that wasn't in the way. That's when I found this VIVO Ceiling TV mount on Amazon. As soon as I found out this existed, I had to buy it. In renovating the bedroom, I uniquely design the room to accommodate for the TV being mounted to the ceiling. I position both track lighting and recessed lighting around the room, and left a spot for the TV in the center, wiring up an electrical outlet right next to where I wanted to mount it to have the wires neatly hidden. It took me a couple months of work, but it came out great! The TV mount was all packaged very nicely with a clear set of instructions on how to install it. All the installation hardware was nicely packaged and organized. Installation went really well. Installation went well, and he best thing is, it came with a nice template for drilling out all the holes. One modification I made, due to the way my bedroom ceiling/framing is situated, I bought longer, heavy duty construction bolts to mount it rather than the ones it came with (they would have been too short to hit some of the beams in my ceiling). Mounting it was fairly easy. I attached the bracket to the TV, and had someone help screw it in while I held it (definitely a 2 person job for installing the actual TV). I bought a 43" TCL TV from Walmart, great, budget-friendly 4k TV's with Roku built in. It works great. It takes about a minute to fully extend or retract. Using the remote, you can set the exact angle you wanna watch TV at. The remote allows you to save to memory a couple different viewing angles you like, too. The unit only acted up one time when I first installed it, and unplugging it for a minute and replugging it fixed the issue. I love this TV mount, I just have nothing bad to say about it. I even found a clever way to mount a Nintendo Switch to the back/bottom side of the unit and TV with a couple zip ties. Overall this is a really cool thing to have in your home (or even business). If you have a unique location/place where this would work for you, I definitely recommend it! Just make sure you secure it well to the structure of your building, as it's a little heavy (even without the TV). Also be careful not to run into or bump your head into it while installing.

Awesome retractable TV Mount, but plan ahead for easy install!
Added this mount to my pitched ceiling garage, an it worked out perfectly. This product works especially well on pitched ceilings, which allows the TV to be lowered to a completely vertical position. It takes about 60 seconds to travel from fully-up to fully-down position. [Note the posted video is at 2x speed] This mount requires a sturdy wooden or concrete surface to anchor to. If you have the proper surface, this was very easy to install. I would not suggest trying to mount this to a single joist / rafter. In my case, I installed some blocking in the ceiling prior to the drywall going up. If don't have a good mounting surface, I'd suggest first cutting out the drywall, installing blocking, and then fixing it all up. You might be able to built a UniStrut support to span multiple joists / rafters, but that's pretty ugly and kind of defeats the purpose of this thing. It would be nice if you could purchase a matching black adapter plate that spanned multiple rafters / joists and allowed you to center the mount over a location where the is only drywall. The controls are super easy to use & program. I've only been using this product for a couple days, but so far I am very pleased with it, especially for the price.

Love this Ceiling TV Mount!!!
Iโm absolutely thrilled with the Vivo TV Electric Ceiling Mount! The build quality is fantasticโitโs sturdy and feels very well made. Installation was straightforward, and once it was up, it made such a difference in my setup. The remote control is super convenient for adjusting the position of the TV, and I love the tilt options, which let me get the perfect viewing angle every time. It moves smoothly and quietly, and I feel confident my TV is secure. This mount really enhances the overall look and functionality of my space. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a durable, easy-to-use, and versatile ceiling mount!

Almost a fantastic product
Mount was very easy to install. Does what I expected it to do and the client was very happy with the results. That being said, there are a few minor issues that may be turn offs for some people: 1) The remote has an IR window, but only operates on RF frequencies. Somewhat of a pain to program with a universal remote, if at all possible depending on the remote you have. 2) I haven't fully tested it, but when it loses power, the motor has no resistance. I'm afraid that if there is a power outage, the TV will slam down. Some sort of integrated locking system to keep it in the upright position would be a good idea. 3) And lastly, the power port is on the front, which does not make for the cleanest of installs. Would be nice if it had been relocated to the back to make wire management easier, especially with the length of the power cable.

Nice for smaller homes
Works great with 58" Roku hi sense tv. Folds out the way. Have 8' foot ceilings unless your over 7' 2" tall will have no clearance issues.

Prone to Malfunction
A close friend of mine and I both purchased this unit for similar applications... mounting a 65" TV on the ceiling of large outdoor pavilion structure built in our respective backyards. The structures have finished ceilings and roofs that completely protect the mount and the TV from the elements. Since we live in CA, the climate is mild with no extreme temperatures. The motorized mount seemed like the perfect solution to keeping the TV raised when not in use, and down when we want to watch sporting events outdoors. In the 8 months or so that we've both had the mounts installed, BOTH units have failed with the same problem -- the mount getting stuck in the up position, rendering the TV useless. My TV has been raised and lowered no more than 15 times in the time that I've owned it. My friend hired a contractor to help him remove the TV and then replace the motorized mount. Sadly, in the process, the TV cracked, but was fortunately covered by the manufacturer warranty. It was simply a GIANT hassle and LOTS of work to install a new mount. Apparently, the problem is so common that the manufacturer created a YouTube video to show users how to fix the issue (at least until it occurs a again). It requires getting up on a ladder to remove a few screws to free the belt and lower the TV, then with TWO people for any larger TV (e.g., 65" models), the TV must be removed from the mount, followed by complete removal of the ceiling mount. Finally, the belt needs to be rethreaded, followed by reinstallation of the mount and TV. It's a BIG job! Given the fact that my ceiling is close to 11 ft high, I'm probably going to opt for for freeing up the belt and keeping the TV in the down position, rather than go through all of the work and expense of taking everything down and starting over. It's extremely disappointing. As they say, "Caveat Emptor" -- buyer beware.

Great value but slow as molasses
This electric tv stand works great and wasnโt too hard to install. Just need to catch at least one side on a stud and use strong butterfly mollies on the drywall side. Holds our 55โ Samsung well and I was able to hide cords using parts of stand. Remote is simple and only ding is the slow motor time to open and close. Itโs a solid minute but the good thing is you just hit the remote button once and leave it. It goes on its own until it stops. So you just hear the mild humming noise for a minute. It has two memories, so it programs how you want it tilted. Overall very happy with it and it works great despite how it looks.

Perfecte oplossing!
Eenvoudige installatie, zeer degelijk, werkt voortreffelijk. De voedingskabel had hooguit een stuk langer mogen zijn, maar dit heb ik met een verlengkabel opgelost.
