However i realized that it needs lubrication. You will need to lubricate it with silicone spray (get at home depot). It is much better but probably as slick as an ourdoor ice rink after a skate..it is definately more than adequate for playing hockey. But it requires a bit more effort to skate that will probably payoff in terms of strength training. I have not had too much experience with other synthetic ice but it is as or slicker than the other ice products that i have tried at our local hockey store at a fraction of the cost. Finally, the customer service is great and responsive. We had an issue and they quickly rectified it. I will be buyimg more!
