I'm getting back into archery after taking a few years off. I ordered this one for the price and ease-of-use. So far I've been very pleased. This is a 50lbs recurve bow. Keyword is 50lbs. Be careful when you string it. I'm very happy with how sturdy it feels. Stringing it is a bit tricky, but it is getting much easier with practice. It came secure in a box and undamaged. The tips were wrapped for additional protection. The bow was slightly compressed with a 550 paracord. It was extremely easy to open and string (thanks to youtube). I don't recommend dry firing a bow, but I've done a few quarter draws and it seems well made. I've fully drawn the bow and it has little chatter (creaking). I look forward to eventually hunting with it. I do recommend getting a forearm guard and thumb protector. It slapped me once and the 50lbs draw wears on your thumb. Overall, I'm very pleased and look forward to taking it out once my arrows arrive.

I originally went looking for a bow to add to a costume for renaissance festival. When I saw this bow, I knew I needed the real thing and this checks every box. It is beautiful, has a strong, clean draw and was sent promptly. Great product that I'm excited to use on multiple occasions.

I’ll start off by saying I had very fast delivery and the bow arrived well protected in bubble wrap. As a bowyer, i’m very familiar with stringing bows so I was able to string it up very easily. A tag on the bow read 50 as in draw weight. String arrived in good condition but needed a serious waxing. However, I did notice something. I purchased a draw weight scale and at full draw 28” it read 35 pounds? Please tell me that the scale is faulty as it is cheap. I was really hoping to get a 50# bow, or maybe it is, at this point i’m just confused. Either way it’s a good bow for the price.

For the last few weeks, I have withheld my review on this product to see - overall - how it would hold up with my expectations. I am MORE than happy with it thus far! At first, as this was my first big purchase in getting a bow for my medieval outfit for Halloween and then to make it a wall decor, I wasn't sure I chose right. But I have been proven very wrong! (Also, shooting it doesn't seem a problem either, as most people would get this for actual hunting or practicing.) I don't mean to praise too much but this bow is seriously a sweet deal. When it arrived in packaging, it was securely cared for as well as wrapped. It took a bit to get it all out, which says something nice as it was made safe for the travel to me. Afterwards, I came to find that the bow was stringed with something else and not the string. I put the bow on the floor, held it down with my knee and strung the bow in the end; although my muscles worked out during it all, lol. But the bow looked just as awesome as I hoped it would. I carried it around the house for the longest time, feeling like Legolas or something. It's an inspiring piece of work! I included a picture or two of the bow itself so people could see how big the item is. And it really is a handy, versatile, well sized bow that won't be too awkward or disappointing to hold. It also, funny enough and I am no real hunter or expert, shoots pretty well too! Again, I am no expert, but there is a ton of power behind the shot. Be careful when practicing or aiming!

Please respond. I read the description and reproduce reviews before buying and was aware I should expect noise. I heard those as expected when stringing/unstringing and drawing the bow. However one of the draws me and a guest heard an audible would cracking sound when fully drawn. I was not long holding, I was not dry firing, I was being very diligent. It genuinely feels like this construction is at its limit at 50lbs draw weight. Simply shipping a higher tolerance product string to 50lbs would be safer. Especially considering recurve bows don’t indicate when you’re exactly at the set draw weight. I’ll give it another try with some protective gear, but this didn’t feel right. Again this was not the creaking sound you expect, this was the distinct sound of wood cracking. I immediately unstrung the bow after hearing it. It’s not possible to visually inspect the entire structure due to the decorations and I’m not sure what to do with this. Please reach out to me. It’s beautiful, feels nice, strings well.

Bought it for a prop and it's fine for that, I bow hunt and wouldn't use it for that purpose and the 1st time I pulled it back and got a pretty loud crack sound I left it strung for prop purposes and won't be testing it again. Bit spendy for that and would have liked the option to shoot it but it will do. Not worth replacing or refunding it to me.

Bow arrived in a box that could have been bigger but no damage luckily. Bought natural arrows to target shoot. Ordered 50lb bow. Have shot a few hundred times now and everything seems great. The string is holding up. First time shooting a bow and am getting good grouping at 30+ yards in a few weeks. It’s put together very well, the material is beautiful. If you are thinking about this bow just go ahead and order it.

So I have not done archery since I was a kid, so my experience is not great. I probably made the mistake of getting the 50 lb bow but I have been shooting it all afternoon. I’m bruised and battered from improper technique and the fact that I’ve never strung a bow. Other than that it’s been a blast shooting with this bow.
