A useful investment
The Nylabone dental kit includes a tube of toothpaste, a regular toothbrush, and a finger toothbrush. I purchased the puppy-sized one because my dog, though an adult, is fairly small, only 20 lbs. The size fits him well. If you have a smaller dog, I'd recommend the puppy kit. If you have a larger dog, the adult kit is the way to go. My dog likes the taste of the toothpaste, so he won't fight me in that regard. He actually licks it right off of my fingers if I let him. However, it's a bit difficult to brush his teeth with the regular toothbrush. Since I haven't had him since he was a puppy, he didn't get an early start to tooth-brushing so he tends to struggle with me. In times when he's struggling, using the regular toothbrush is hard since it doesn't offer as much precise control. On the other hand, it's significantly easier to brush his teeth with the finger toothbrush. I can just do a few quick swipes and be done. I recommend you start with the finger toothbrush, especially if you have a squirmy dog. A lot of dog owners hesitate, asking if they really need to brush their dogs' teeth. You don't have to brush them every day; even just once a week can make a huge difference in your dog's dental health. This kit + dental chews = no stinky dog breath + happy healthy doggy :)

Improves the condition after a few uses!!!
I have been searching for a small size tooth brush for my 3 pound Maltese which is a project and kept me from making the purchase. This was by far the best overall package from having the finger cap and the brush with a neutral tasting toothpaste. Previously I bought a vanilla mint scenes tooth paste that claimed to be enzymatic which does not required brushing. Turned out that it does not get the job done so I tried this one. My Maltese is really tiny and makes it difficult to get her teeth brushed. This set was as complete as it needs and I am using the set twice a week and have noticed her getting more and more used to the brushing. The condition of her overall teeth has improved which I am very excited about.

Pretty good! Look At Ingredients
I recently tried the peanut butter-flavored puppy toothpaste for my 5-month-old pup, and I must say it left me with mixed feelings. The product boasts a list of ingredients that include Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Vegetable Glycerin, and more, which initially gave me confidence in its effectiveness. However, the experience was not quite as straightforward as I had hoped. First, the positive aspects of the puppy toothpaste. The peanut butter flavor is undoubtedly a clever and appealing choice for dogs, and my pup seemed somewhat interested in the taste. The inclusion of Sorbitol, Vegetable Glycerin, and other tooth-friendly ingredients added a level of reassurance that it would help maintain my pup's oral hygiene. One of the notable ingredients in this toothpaste is Sodium Hexametaphosphate, which is commonly used to help control tartar and plaque buildup on a dog's teeth. Additionally, the inclusion of Ascorbic Acid Phosphate is a welcome touch, as it is known for its potential benefits in dental care. However, there were a few downsides to this product. While the peanut butter scent was not terrible, it didn't seem to be a massive hit with my pup. His reaction to the toothpaste wasn't enthusiastic, and it left me wondering whether it was genuinely cleaning his teeth or merely masking his bad breath with the peanut butter flavor. The scent was more like a temporary distraction rather than a true cleaning experience. The ingredient list includes Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which can be a concern for some pet owners due to its potential to irritate sensitive gums. It's always a good idea to monitor your puppy's reaction when using products containing this ingredient. Overall, the peanut butter-flavored puppy toothpaste did an okay job, but I wasn't entirely convinced of its cleaning efficacy. It was a pleasant distraction for my pup during the brushing process, but it left me wondering whether it was truly addressing his dental hygiene needs. The ingredient list is a mix of promising dental care components and potential concerns, so it's worth discussing with your veterinarian to determine if this toothpaste is the best fit for your puppy.

Love your dog
We have been using this toothpaste for years and my dogs love it. Start brushing their teeth every day while they are pups and you will never have to pay for a cleaning by the vet. My wife brushes our dogs teeth every night and doesn't regret any bit of it. Love your dog like a child, they love you with all their heart.

Keeps your pup's teeth clean
I used the little finger brush because I still have a puppy and it was a lot easier than trying to use the brush until my puppy gets bigger. It was very easy to use and I just got my puppy Dallas in my lap and began brushing his teeth. He didn't mind the little finger brush and I actually think it relaxed him enough that he was very calm until I was finished. Dallas also seemed to like the taste of the toothpaste so 5 stars on the flavor. I also didn't notice any scent from the toothpaste. It's super important to clean your dog and puppies teeth and this seems like a simple and easy to use product to keep their teeth pearly white.

Toothpaste is okay, but brush is frustrating
I've tried a couple of dog-safe toothpastes, and my dog seems to dislike this one the least. I know that doesn't sound great, but he really doesn't like having his teeth brushed. The first toothpaste I tried (I believe it was by Arm & Hammer), he absolutely hated, so this is much better. The toothpaste doesn't smell like peanut butter, to me, but maybe the taste is different than the scent. What I don't like is that the toothbrush has rubber bristles on each side. For humans, those work great, because our toothpastes foam up. Since they can't rinse and spit, dog toothpaste doesn't have the foaming action, and so the rubber bristles end up trapping the gooey toothpaste. It takes a lot of effort for me to get all of the toothpaste out from between the bristles. I also feel like the rubber bristles get in the way of cleaning his teeth, because he squirms, and the rubber bristles are longer than I'd like them to be, so those are mostly what makes contact with his teeth. I've started using cheap, separately purchased toothbrushes (without the rubber bristles), and those clean his teeth much better than this one.

Product works well when we can get her to cooperate!
We have used this puppy dental kit for our 5 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She actually really likes the taste of the peanut flavored tooth paste. We introduced it to her first before we tried using the brush. The brush has an arched neck and a small head, which makes it about as easy to use as a doggy tooth brush can be. She spends most of the time trying to lick the tooth paste off of the brush and her teeth while we fight to keep her jaw open. She still has puppy breath, but at least it helps fight plaque buildup. We shoot to try and brush her teeth at least 3 times a week when we can. Overall a good starter kit for your puppy!

My dog and I agree, brushing teeth doesn't have to be so bad.
This product is great and comes with two options for brushing my dogs teeth. It has a finger brush and a standard brush. The paste smells very good and my dog seems to enjoy the taste. There is no need to rinse so he just licks it up after brushing. He is still getting used to brushing, but the finger cap is very gentle so I am training him using that, while occasionally using the brush to reach the back teeth. The puppy kit has a regular tarter control paste, but has a smaller brush head for smaller dogs.
