KrusteazBanana Quick Bread Mix, Made with Real Bananas, 15.0 oz Boxes (Pack of 12)

Not much banana flavor. 2nd time I made them I added 1/2 teaspoon banana extract & they were perfect. These are great in a pinch (muffins) but I prefer my recipe. Problem is I live an hour away from the nearest grocery store so buying fresh bananas doesn't happen that easily. Krusteaz is the only brand of any mix I will buy. As a professional chef I much prefer scratch...Krusteaz comes as close as you can get for a mix.

Great taste, lower carb than other products.

I have bought Krusteaz pancake mixes, lemon breads and now the banana bread mix. I try to buy by the 12 ct. case, the best value and we always have a supply of something delicious and easy to bake. I add a whole (previously frozen) banana for more flavor, however, the mix really is delicious by itself and I usually make 2 loaves at a time. Great for oversized muffins and small muffins too! Can't find this in the stores right now, so this 12 ct. case is a great value.

Taste like Bananas without adding extra banana's.

Product is easy to use. Bread is moist. BUT it tastes like sugar base with banana flavoring. So I read the label: 28% of RDA of sugar in one serving. Ouch. Also, the second ingredient is sugar: far far more sugar than in bread or made from scratch banana bread. I have been trying to reduce sugar, this almost got me to a sugar coma (ok I had 2 generous servings because it was new to me). Think of this as candy, not bread.

A really bad cardboard taste

I use to buy a 12 pack of this bread for about $40 earlier this year. When the price jumped to $101 I refuse to ever buy this again. It isn't worth it. I will be returning my latest delivery because I couldn't stop it before it was shipped.
