Onyx EZR Satellite Radio with Home Kit (SXEZR1H1) | SiriusXM

The product works very well - once the antenna was situated in a good location, the signal came in clear and well. The only problem encountered had to do with SiriusXM eliminating the old radio from my account and putting this radio on, but even that was easily taken care of. In all, a very good product for listening to SiriusXM.

Replaced a 15 year old and tired Tivoli radio with XM. The Onyx is much easier to use, and more importantly, gets a better signal from both satellite (always almost full scale) and terrestrial repeater varies from a weak to moderate. Bottom line, the music keeps playing and never degrades even in heavy rain storms. The included antenna is inside and not even near a window but is facing a south facing wall. Audio on the line out had to be turned down to minimum. You'll have no problem feeding whatever line level device you need with this. It has been error free with no re-booting or issues and it stays on 24/7. I like that you can dim the display and go white on black text. For the price it's a bargain if you want to listen to SXM or feed it into an audio system to have always on music without dealing with streaming.

This was a Christmas gift for my mother during Christmas Day. She's enjoying it as we speak. 10 out of 10.

This is an older model with selection buttons on it which is great for someone who has difficulty with computer-type scanning screens. It works great but be aware it is NOT bluetooth or wifi capable so you will need an older style speaker with a plug-in jack cable connection. I've had to search hard for one of those, most stores only carry bluetooth.

It was not clear to me that a short time after I started using it that it would stop working. All of the channels except one stopped working. Channel 1 displays a phone number to sign up for a subscription. There was no warning, no information, it just stopped in the middle of a Joel Osteen program. It feels like they are holding me hostage for more money. From what I found out, the subscription makes most people unhappy. My phone is much too expensive to be a radio especially with the number of trackers raking in more money when using the app.

I bought the package with the home kit to be able to connect to a Bose unit in my kitchen. When I started the setup, the instructions said you have to place the antenna in a window that has a clear view of the southern sky. Oops. My home has no southern facing windows. The unit gets a great signal on my patio. The only option I have to get this to work inside my home is to install an outdoor antenna in a southern facing spot and have wiring coming inside. Going to try to figure out how to make this work, but just beware that if you are intending to use it in your home, you will need to have a clear south facing window to place the antenna and then run the wire to the Home Dock. Other than my lack of signal issue for interior use, the unit was easy to set up and is easy to navigate thru the menu and settings.
