Review: Build quality is questionable - The roundwound strings make it louder acoustically than my original em fs ubass with pahoehoe strings but the build quality isn't as good some issues with the magnetic cover on the back being warped and not fitting well and the magnets themselves coming loose...not a 5 star purchase
Review: Love this Kala UBass! - Well-made, gorgeous wood grain, big sound! I paired mine with a Fender Rumble 40 bass amp, and if you don’t see the instrument, you would think it was the sound of a full sized bass guitar. Even though it is acoustic/electric, it really needs to be amp’d or mic’d. The bass notes would be too hard to hear in a small group setting with other instruments including uke groups.

## Features

- BIGGEST U-BASS BODY: F-holes and Kala's largest U-BASS body produce greater acoustic volume and the original U-BASS tone, even before you plug in
- EASY UPPER FRET ACCESS: A Venetian cutaway gives you comfortable access to the higher register for solos, fills, and melodic playing
- CLASSIC MAHOGANY STYLE: A satin mahogany finish with cream binding creates a warm, timeless look that suits any stage or studio
- UK-500B ELECTRONICS: Onboard, 9V battery-powered electronics let you plug into an amp or PA with reliable amplified performance
- VERSATILE PLAYABILITY: Equally suited to first-time bassists and experienced players looking for a compact, acoustic-inspired bass

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice and sounds BIG

Very stylish design. I've let several musicians try it and we all enjoy the sound and easy fingering neck. I could not be pleased more.
