Does it have other ingredients in it like peas or just the raw bites?** A: This has just the light-colored bites that show on the cover. I have two dogs (about 30 pounds each) and I just take a handful and drop on top of their kibble when I feed them. I haven't paid attention to how long it takes but I don't think I use more than 2 per month or 1 each per dog. They can also be used as treats for training. They have only 30% protein as I recall while the kibble I just is 70%. They certainly like them and while they may leave kibble, they never leave the mixers. Hope this helps. **Q: About how many pieces are there in a 5.5 oz bag?** A: I can’t guess. I buy the 14 oz bag. 56 1/2 cup servings. **Q: Can you push a pill in them with out them breaking up** A: I suppose it is possible, never tried it. I cut about 3/4 inch off of a cheese stick, make a sm hole in one end, put the pill in and give cheese to dog. He usually notices the pill in just about everything else. The pill is yucky smelling and probably tasting, so I prefer the cheese. I use it for their monthly pill for heartworm, etc. I do crush about 2 of the mixers on the one dogs dinner (dry), and give about 3 whole in the older dogs food. They love it. Can be used as training treats *by B***N on 24 December 2017* These are soft, unlike other freeze dried raw food, and it is easy to crumble with my fingers. I crumble these mix it with shredded freeze dried liver, duck hearts, green tripe, mix in Wild Alaskan Salmon oil, a joint supplement and other supplements, add water to rehydrate to an oatmeal consistency (a half of a cup total) and then mix it with his high quality kibble (a cup less) to make higher quality food for my service dog. I hope to go full real raw but these are a good first step. These also can be used as training treats as they are soft but I find they are a tad too big. Even for my large dog, I would want to cut them in half but the minute you do they crumble. Also, it is too easy to over feed if you do that but if measured out it could work as training treats.
