3M 1080 M12 MATTE BLACK 5ft x 1ft (5 Sq/ft) Car Wrap Vinyl Film

I purchased a new vehicle and used this to cover over the driver's side kick panel, inside the lower part of the door, and the outside front plastic panel of the front seat. It seems every car I've ever had gets all scuffed up in those places from swinging your feet in and out. This film covers it all handsomely. It took a while to cut and fit it (about an hour), but that was 2 months ago and this film hasn't peeled, torn, bubbled, or anything unwanted. It's GREAT. It's somewhat flexible and can be smoothed over gently curved surfaces. I did place this over slightly "textured" automotive interior plastic trim, and it adheres just fine. You can see my photos that show this film two months after applying it. Everything you see that's black (other than the floor mat) is this film. Took about an hour to do it all. I applied it in a heated garage, about 60 to 65 degrees F. I would not attempt to apply this in cooler conditions than that. The warmer it is, the better this goes on.

Use this product on the door jams on my car, where my boots would scuff the paint. Very easy to install here and helps prevent scuffs and scratches.

So my Volkswagen R32 came with some neato brushed aluminium vinyl wrap on various trim pieces, but sadly one day I scratched it in a conspicuous area and so of course the whole lot had to come off, including on the gear selector trim. Trouble is, I pulled the wrap off the gear selector trim and to my horror that wrap pulled the soft touch texture spray off. So, I bought this vinyl wrap to handle that. It applies well and definitely looks the part with careful attention to detail. Please don't judge the life I live based on the things on my desk. We're all just humans here, trying to make it through, but you can clearly see that with proper prep work you're gonna do a good job with this wrap. Based on the quality of this product, I might feel fancy one day and try the piano black wrap in my R32 to annoy the auto journalists.

I used this as a sunstrip. It was my first time “wrapping” anything so it was a little difficult. But the product was relatively easy to work with. Just use soapy water so you can adjust things if you need. But don’t use too much soap or it may affect the adhesive.

Used this to wrap my center console 6 months ago and it’s held up great. Easy to work with as well.

This was purchased to fix some paint that had peeled off the window trim of my car. It was very easy to apply and adhered great. I waited a while after purchasing to review to ensure it held up and it has done an excellent job in all elements! You can hardly tell there was peeled paint behind it. It matched great, covered great, and holds up very well. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for an option to fix a spot on your car without having to pay excessive amounts of money at a body shop. It is a matte finish but that is what the trim was on my car as well so it blended perfectly.

I'd say it was pretty easy to install and this is coming from a 27 year old woman who didnt have any clue of what i was doing lol but i got there and made it work and it looks pretty good...i'm no professional but i only needed this along the bottom trimming of one of my windows because the rest of my car is already blacked out so it blends in pretty well with my other windows and i got it in matte black. I couldnt be more happier with my results ! Would definitely recommend

The item arrived with a small divot in it and it wrinkles much more easily than other products I've used before. It also is much less durable as it ripped a little on some edges very easily when it was heated up with a hair dryer, I am not used to vinyl being so sensitive. I was able to wrap one small interior piece in my 2013 RAV4 but it looks like the long dash trim piece is going to be much harder and time consuming because of how weak this product is. The last vinyl product I used was 3M 1080 series from ECS Tuning and it was much stronger than this I'm not sure what makes the product sold here so fragile.
