I was worried it would be rough & uncomfortable under foot like some other reviews mentioned but I find it to be actually quite soft for a jute rug. It’s reversible too, so if one side gets a stain you can just flip it over! You’ll likely want to get a rug pad to keep it in place but the cheap ones that come in a cut-to-fit roll worked out perfect.
