For real projects, this quality made Tool Set is the "real deal". In the wooden tool box you'll find an actual steel saw, 2 screwdrivers, sturdy wooden and steel hammers, pliers, wrenches and more! Tool Box measures 14 ½" H. x 19 ¾" W. (when open). Ages 6 yrs. +.

Realistic kid size tools
My 6 year old son loves this! The tools are great, there true to adult size tools; just proportional in weight and size for a child. We've made a bird house so far and he was able to manage the tools all by himself with no bumps or scrapes! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the carrying box is not that great; the screw driver and chisel are difficult to get out and the bow-saw falls out after you break the seal for the hammer. My son thinks the box is great so he wants to keep the tools in there regardless. Overall I think it's a great product and worth the cost.

this is the best set. I had the same set 26 years ...
if you are wanting fairly safe tools for your minnie do it yourselfer-kiddo, this is the best set. I had the same set 26 years earlier and they have yet to come out with anything better. i bought his and hers for my two kiddos and personalized them by dipping the handles in their favorite color paint and put their name on them. it's been a year and they are still going strong.

It is just like the one I bought him
I bought one of these for my son, many years ago when he was two. He now has a daughter that loves to help her daddy in the garage, so I have now purchased one for her. It is just like the one I bought him. Hopefully she will learn to use her tools and be a fixer upper like her daddy!

Great product for the learning builder!
I looked everywhere for a good "real" tool set for a little boy. He is six and too old and big for his Step 2 Toolbench with the plastic tools.I purchased this with child safety glasses, woodcrafting ideas book and children's Occidental toolbelt and it was a huge hit for Christmas. He and his dad immediately went to the garage and practiced sawing and hammering. By far the best tool set I found, even better that it was a great price. The case is also a great added bonus as it keeps everything organized.Highly recommend this product.

Good set,... not quite as functional as I expected.
The hammer head was loose, the screwdriver heads to rough to actually insert into screw heads. The saw is too dull/flimsy to really cut. Lastly, the box is a real pain to close with all the swinging arms inside & whatnot.BUT, overall for the price this is a pretty awesome set. My nephew was super excited and plays with these tools often.

This would be better for very basic building with light weight woods
This is a really cute kit. But, we bought it for function, our family loves building. We felt this set was disappointing, not built to last.We were also surprised to discover once you pull our the pieces its almost impossible to put them back! The latch on the front broke within a couple of days. Perhaps this is only suitable for a builder under seven years old. This is not a montessori quality set. This would be better for very basic building with light weight woods, or for imaginative play.

So adorable! My son and daughter love it
So adorable! My son and daughter love it. They have "fixed" a lot of furniture since they are actual mini tools. Would totally buy again if something happens to the one I have.I also recommend that it's painted prior to handling because it leaves a waxy films on your hands and well, my toddlers still like to put things in their mouth. But other than that, it's awesome!

Low Quality
I was initially very excited to get this for my daughter. She loves to be in the workshop with me and some kid-sized tools for her I thought would be great. I was also very excited because this set was nearly identical for one I had 30+ years ago when I was her age, or at least looked identical. When we opened the box the items were loose and it took a minute to put them back where they go. The saws provided could barely score soft pine, the only piece that seemed to be sturdy enough to use is the small claw hammer. The rest are toys at bests. I gave it two stars just because my daughter has no clue how junky the tools are and enjoys playing wood shop and building things with them anyway.
